DC, don't know how I missed your post before now. There's nothing I can really add except my support and good wishes. I agree with marseilles completely! I don't think you'll be going anyway, because of the hurricane. I just read that they are ordering evacuations beginning tomorrow afternoon and the beast (the storm, not your MIL to be) will hit Sat/Sun timeframe.

You're right: the road is impassible, metaphorically, and maybe it's thanks for all the Medi-prayers. As far as I can tell, we aren't going. Hotel has been cancelled.

Still only 13 pounds to go, whew, no meltdown, no quitting. I HAVE had a tough past couple of days at work, though, so I'm almost too bedraggled at the moment to be cheerful. May tomorrow be a bright day, with clearance for Sunday's weigh in. Yahoo!
