Tea's fine. You're supposed to limit caffeinated drinks to three per day, but I don't know how much caffeine is in tea, since I don't drink it.

...and make sure it's not sweet tea, of course. Unless it's artificially sweet.

Even decaf black teas have SOME caffeine in them. There are lots of herbals, however, that don't have any.

Unsweetened tea for me is unlimited. But I hate it when it is made ike sun tea. So, I just drink 4C and Crystal light. I jsut don't drink them full blast. I add extra H2O. I know Crytal Light is made without splenda, but the pre-made bottles are okay to have if you only drink splenda sweetener.

If you really like tea, there is a meal replacement you can have.

Jeni-

I go through a gallon of tea in 3 days. ! :)

I make a pot of water, cook until boiling, and use 4 caffeinated and 8 decaffeinated tea bags (regular size). Then I pour into a gallon pitcher and fill with water. It stores great in the fridge for 4 or 5 days. The antioxidants are incredible, you get much less caffeine, and it is very refreshing!!!

For a treat I like mine with fresh squeezed lemon and sweet n low. I'm not normally a big SNL fan, but for some reason the lemon takes away the aftertaste and it is very similar to "sweet tea" with lemon. (Ah, sweet tea- you are responsible for so many of my extra pounds!!)

Thanks for the idea, VT. I love iced tea and was wondering how I could fit it in seeing as I also love coffee.

I also read a good tip about iced tea the other day......if you refrigerate it and it gets cloudy, just add a little bit of boiling water and......voila! No more clouds.

Try Crystal Lite Iced Tea with Lemon flavor. It tastes just like southern "sweet tea". I normally drink my iced tea unsweetened with Lemon. I love tart stuff. Lipton makes instant iced tea decaffeinated too.
thanks for the de-clouding tip...although it's rarely around my fridge long enough to get cloudy.
