Hey, Tawanda. I hope the babies turn the corner soon and start feeling better. You must be exhausted!

Congrats on the jeans, though. Sized big or not, the number on the tag is definitely a morale lifter!

Tawanda - congrats on the 10 - who cares if they are stretch - own it girl!! That is so wonderful.

I don't understand sizes nowadays. I comfortably fit in a size 12 - but I do have a couple of pairs of tens. One size 10 is actually a pant suit - the pants are very form fitting - but the jacket is long so you never see my upper legs. Fits very nice. I wore it yesterday and got loads of comments. People are really taking notice of my weight loss. Then I just bought a pair of jean capris that are size 10. They are Sonoma's from Kohls and are stretch - they too probably run big. But who cares - like you said the label says 10.

Keep up the good work. You too are so close to goal. You and Biki make me very envious.

Tawanda wrote:Yesterday and today I wore size 10 jeans!!! They are the stretch St. John's Bay classic jeans that I mentioned a week or more ago (when I was able to wear size 12). I do believe that these run large and they are stretch.......but 10 on the tag is one heck of a mood lifter. I was playing with the idea of heading into town one day to try on jeans to see what size, in other brands, that I am........but then I thought "I know these run big and I don't need to go find out that I'm still a 14"......size 10 on 165.5# is enough to know they are running big..... so I've decided to just leave well enough alone. Size 10 is the smallest jeans I have so the time will come within the next 4-5 weeks where I'll probably have to go shopping (oh darn!) and then I'll find out that 14s are still tight...... :? . I'll deal with reality when it is time to deal with it.

How wonderful for you T! Your such an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others.

You guys are pretty darn nice. :D Thank you.

Babies have improved enough that they are running their mother ragged but she didn't feel that I needed to be there all day. I feel badly that she is doing the day alone --- changing multitudes of diapers and doing lots of extra laundry, without being too descriptive ;) . But I do admit, to you, that I'm so thankful to have a day home and alone.

I ran errands this morning and just ate some Chicken Noodle soup (yum! I make it with about 3/4 cup of water so it turns out kind of thick..I like it). While in town I took along a RTD and always carry a bar so had the bar on the drive home (was only about 15 minutes past my time for a supplement). I really like the Oatmeal Raisin bars, too. They are sweet and chewy. I had the scrambled eggs for my breakfast, those aren't anything to write home about, on their own.....but I'd order them again in a flash once I'm ready to begin making some of the recipes shared here and on the mymedifast dot com recipe boards. I've tried them a couple times on the stove and they just don't do it for me. I like having oatmeal for my breakfast as it seems to stick with me longer.

Today is wet and overcast. I've got a fleece jacket on (in the house). I guess I could get moving and warm up ...but I think a fleece jacket and sitting in my easy chair knitting sounds like a perfect dreary afternoon activity. :D I'd hate to wear myself out doing strenuous things like housework......... ;). I do have some laundry going (both washer and dryer) so I'm not totally being worthless in the housefrau department.

Okay........'nuff of me (you wish).

Later.....

Okay-here's the deal-if I can keep on feeling this well throughout the day-I am going to go to Macy's with REGULAR underwear, not my superdeedooper control ones, and try on jeans. I will report back! I just can't stand it anymore!!

You go girl!!! I'll have my fingers crossed that you'll slide into a size that will have you breaking out in a dance in the fitting room! ;)

Babies are still feeling puny but have improved sufficiently that they are coming to me for the day instead of me going to their house, while their parents are at work. I hope they do okay on the drive out here. Miserable to be stuck in a car when you just want to lay down and veg...

Weight up this morning 166.5 blech! Not enough water and who knows what else is going on....

Hope it is a good day for everyone!

Ahhhh Mizz T ~
I'm sorry you've had such a time with the grandbabies! Poor little things!
I'm so glad to hear that they're improving. You must be exhausted. (You know, exercise increases stamina...:D)

You are doing so well, despite that annoying scale.
Major congrats on the size 10s!! WooHoo!!

Thank you so much for the well-wishes you expressed in my journal, and for sharing your experience. You know, I had read an article about the defibrillation device some time ago, but didn't pay full attention to it at the time...other than to be amazed at current technology and such. Thanks for mentioning it...I pulled up some very informative journal articles through my university's library. It comforted me a great deal to know that there are options for Jerod. As did your sending me your "very best," 'cause YOUR very best is, uhm, WOW!

 Sue & Sojo

I'm dragging tonight. The babies seemed to feel pretty good other than not sleeping during naps and being a bit whiney. They were high maintenance today. :? Their mother only made it for one hour at work this morning before she had to go home.....yep, the little germs gave this bug to her. I sure hope their daddy doesn't get it, too. Oh! And I hope I don't either. ;)

I drank my 8 glasses of water today (guess I'm going to have to report that each day so that I'll shame myself into doing it).

My BeSlim order arrived today and in it was one of the new Quick Start Guides...I've not sat & looked at it yet so I should do that. I've been just following what I've done since day 1 and I was thinking I'd better review and make sure I'm not tripping myself up (slowing down my weight loss) because I'm doing something that I 'know' is correct only to find out it isn't. :? Don't know how much of a possiblity it is......after all, I could swear I read that Ho-Hos and Twinkies were allowed once a day as a snack............................. ;) Just kidding. But I do need to make sure I'm not having something forbidden, thinking it is okay. I seem to be a bit slow on the weight loss but maybe that is just my warped thinking since I'm watching the scale so closely. My FitDay record still reports just over a 2# average loss per week..and that is 'good' in my mind. Very good.

I'm so thankful that Lizabette's hubby is going to be okay. What a fright that had to have been along with a very high stress day. Amazing how so many people that we 'meet' online become important to us.

Enjoy your weekend!

Hey T,

I hope you don't catch the bug! You such a hardworking grandmother :) 2+# a week is a wonderful steady loss rate. I'm hoping to average around that so that I will reach my goal by my birthday in January. Hope you have a great weekend!

Tawanda-
I am right with you on the average weekly loss on Fitday. Sometimes I feel like a turtle but 2.18 a week is pretty darned good! So congratulations to us both! We have each had are stalls and weird weight gains, and you have your perfect compliance :) but we still brave the scale day after day because we know with patience our goal will come!

Thanks QueenieLou & Biki. Biki, I've not been 100% compliant....I ate a raspberry that my grandson picked last weekend. So there goes that lousy halo I was wearing---oh! and last night, I weighed out my baked chicken and instead of having my usual 7oz....I had 8.5 oz ! Yep! I did! I was tired, cranky (yeah, it happens) and I didn't want to mess around with taking the chicken off of the scale, cutting a little bit off, reweighing it -- and I was grumpy about my weight (go figure) so I said "heck with this (I really said something else, but this is a family show ;)), I'm going to just have the extra".

So there.....my compliance halo slipped down, tarnished a bit and is hanging over one eye.......and my weight stayed the same so of course I thought of that lousy extra 1.5 oz of meat. LOL

Today I don't think anyone is expecting me to do anything!!!!! Well, except for DH expecting me to help him do some repair stuff outside in the pasture (fencing).. :(

Water so far today: Zero....coffee so far today: Not enough. ;)
