Uhmmmm.............NO!!
That brings back horrible memories of my mother trying to teach me how to crochet. Mommy Dearest is not the most patient person in the world (okay, she's really the least patient), and I was too ADD or something to sit still for that long, so the combination was not good. At all.

But thanks for asking!!

Ah, Sojo......sorry you had a less than patient mother. It is horrible to have someone with little to no patience as a teacher. I believe that they become easily frustrated when their explanations aren't clear and that makes them even more impatient and harder to understand what they are trying to teach. Impatience and teaching = a bad combo.

Weight the same again this morning (no surprise). Thankfully I feel that I have plenty of patience right now --which is quite odd really as I am not usually a patient person---what I want, I want now! :? But I count myself very blessed that I share the MF patience trait with many others here -- although I do recall quite a few times of my growling and grumbling    about how slow the scale is to move and the clothing to feel looser.

The day is going to be another busy one here. I am going to grab another cuppa coffee, finish catching up on everyone's posts and then shut this thing off.

Hope it is a good day!

Good morning Tawanda, I just wanted to pop in and say hello. I may have to give knitting a try this winter. I know how to crochet but have not done that in years; my scrapbooking takes up most of my time but I'm always willing to learn something new. I hope you have a good day!

I had a great MF day again today. The babies arrived this morning about 7 and will go home tomorrow night about 6. It is a busy but fun time to watch them and it underscores some of the reasons of 'why' I want to be fit and healthy.

Donna, scrapbooking -- it seems to be a great hobby that allows a person to use their creativity and artistic side. To have a vision as to what you want the page to look like and what 'mood' you wish to show with the photos, decorations and the colors---there are a lot of decisions and choices that can be made. I don't know that I have the right personality to be successful at doing it.

Biki......yep, we seem to do a lot of waiting for the scale to show a change. That is okay....I'm learning a lot about not needing to have instant gratification and giving into my food desires when the weight comes off this slowly while staying compliant to the program. Not that I enjoy practicing patience or self control...but they are valuable and important lessons. Yeah, :? I have to keep reminding myself that they are valuable and important lessons that I 'do' want and need to learn. :)

I again lost nothing today and went flipping through my journal. There have been so many times where I weighed the same for 4 days or so. You would think I would be used to it by now. I gueess I am kind of used to it. I don't go into "mini-panic" mode as Joleen likes to call it. Tawanda, I know we will both make it. If the pounds were dropping everyday we wouldn't appreciate the struggle as much in the maintenance days ahead. It gives us more to hold on to because we fought for it. We did a 5-1 for day after day many times seeing no results because we had faith and patience and for me, I am at this point a little scared not to!

Spent too much time writing an entry and lost it all. :?

Oh well. Guess all I really need to say is "weight this morning is ticker weight" It has been .5# above ticker for the last 2 days so glad to have it back where it belongs. :)

T, I was so into telling you to say no to your children and what did I do when my son asked me to babysit on a day that was inconvenient for me? I SAID YES! Of course! LOL.....and if the truth be told, I almost always say yes, hehe.

I'm the same way with my grandbaby when it comes to babysitting. It's hard to say no. Hope you have a good day Tawanda.

Okay, so now we know that there is something in air surrounding our g'kids and it makes us happy to inconvience ourselves so that we can spend time with them. ;) You both are in the same boat as me....enjoying spending time with them and they make saying 'yes' a (usually) fun thing to do. :)

Nap time was very short for one of the babies and I'd better go before the fussing wakes the other one.

Hi Tawanda - Thanks for the advice about the cookies - I will make sure I put them in the refrigerator - I have a batch in the oven right now. These are a nice change of pace. Let me know how the crackers go. I have never done those either. So many things I haven't tried - but a nice way of spicing things up. Have a great night!!

Sue, you're welcome---I would hate for you to make them, get them to work only to find out that they've sprouted fuzz from sitting somewhere warm overnight. ;) I made them once and thought they were pretty good.

HB, it was a pretty day. I only stepped outside at 6:30 a.m to let the horse out into the pasture and then again at 6 p.m to help carry the babies (twins by the way) to their car & buckle them in, so not any time outside for me---but looking out the windows showed a beautiful day.

I just ate my chicken salad (what I have for dinner most of the time) and am ready to just melt into my chair. I'm very bummed that I didn't get to listen to Nancy & Lizabette on the maintenance call! It was dinner time for the babies and then I had to make DH's dinner, too. Just didn't work out that I could listen/participate. :( I will call and listen to it either tonight or tomorrow morning. I'm also bummed that I forgot to listen to the call when Brian was on there a few weeks ago! :x My memory is awful.
