G'morning! Wet, gray and dismal looking outside this morning. A great morning to be sipping on a cup of coffee while wearing flannel pajamas and warm slippers.

Patty, Hi! I hope you find an easy way of keeping up with what other's write......and if you do start a daily thread you may be hitting on something that will get some more people sharing. I wish we could get more people writing to the forums......I know there have to be lots more people than who currently write regularly. And whoever writes often, gets known and gets lots more replies......wish everyone would write and share their journey.

Sojo......hey girl, I was dizzy during part of the knitting talk (and while knitting inside out ;) ) so I understand what you are going through. Are you interested in learning to knit---at all? There are some excellent video and printed tutorials available online...lots of free patterns for socks, too. I love the mental gymnastics of learning something new, and also like having a portable project to take along for those times where your body needs to be somewhere but your mind and hands can be busy (sitting while waiting for a doctor's visit comes to mind).

Biki, ARUGH! :x I'm sorry that you are experiencing the slow weight loss right now. Please try to not become too discouraged. Your body has to be doing some reshuffling of fluids and such.....you know that with the calories that you are consuming and the calories you are burning WILL bring about more weight loss once the body gets itself adjusted. Wish we had a way of seeing the improvements that are going on inside while we feel that we are stuck. Think of those poor little Biki Keebler-type elves that are running around frantically, sweating profusely as they try to keep up with the big improvements in your body chemistry and tissues. They are working as fast and furiously as they can but the improvements are coming so quickly that they fall behind and then it is heck for them to catch back up. :? ;) You are practicing maintanance right now.........yeah, I know, who the heck wants to practice while they are still over goal? ;) Sending you my best and you know you need to be ready with this 'talk' when my next stall/slow down happens.. :D

Goat's cheek looks much better....he must have cut the inside of his cheek with something and then it abscessed. Vet came out, lanced it, drained the junk out (we won't go there) and cut a finger sized hole, on the outside of his cheek, so the wound wouldnt' close back up until it was healed from the inside out of the infected area. He gave him a shot of antibiotics and gave us instructions on how to help it heal. We have the goats just to help the horse company and eat down the pasture....oh, and so that we can see the vet on a more regular basis........ :D

Okay, gotta get another cup of coffee and read whatelse has happened since I was here last night.........

-2# for this week!! :)

Hiya T :D
yes, this weather is miserable. My poor flowers, they are not happy.
And the baby has to wear a jacket, a purple on mind you :)

I think you are admirable for the drainage operation, yuck, yuck :uhuh:
have a cozy day, shall we build a fire?

Thanks. I appreciated the analogy because I am not into any Keebler foods. Not even those little striped cookies. Can my elves wear little BCBG outfits?

Biki, your elves can wear Prada if you want......and I'm sure they are all sporting sparkly violet socks, too. ;) Hey, your body is doing some type of hard work to adjust to the weight loss---it has to be happening that way. I imagine we are throwing our bodies' mechanics into a tail spin with the decrease in calories and the large amount of weight lost in a relatively short period of time (comparing that period of time to what my usual was-----which was gaining most of the time or losing only 5# to regain it......this consistant 'losing' is something that my body isn't familiar with :D).

Just home from church and visiting relatives....going to go catch up on the forums....

HB, purple coat sounds like it is a photo moment waiting to happen?!

Laura, it is wonderful to have you back! You've been missed!

Biki, I am eager to see those tiny little iced violet socks for the Biki elves. ;) I've never eaten a Keebler cookie either, but the commercials for their cookies in years past were cute.

My weight is up .5 over ticker this morning which seems to be my 'normal' body behavior.

That's my mystery .5 pounds that keeps coming back, leaving, coming back, it just stopped off at your house to say "hello!". I am sure it will be back here in DC tomorrow, don't worry. My mother used to put Keebler cookies in our lunches for school but I think the last product I had of theirs was those "Club" crackers. I am probably wrong but I think those are Keebler, come in a green box.

Hi Tawanda - Just checking in to see how everything is going. Sounds like you have been very busy - especially with the goat. Glad to hear that you had a two pound weigh loss...keep up the good work.

Biki, I don't think Keebler was a brand that was around until I was married and very young newlyweds' budget didn't allow 'name brand' crackers ;) . I think it was cheap potato chips instead of cute elf cookies & crackers for us.

Suzy, you made the 50# club!!!! Did I know that already? I cannot remember if I did or not. I think last I knew you were very close but hadn't hit it yet? I will go read your journal. CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU!!!! :D
