Biki, I know you are right as my water intake has been on the skimpy side today...... Sorry about the bragging. ;)

Lil'bette, ah, another SJB girl! ;) They are comfy jeans.

Well, I drive 25 minutes to get to the doctor's only to find out that they canceled my appointment and rescheduled me for late September. Dr. was called to an emergency at the hospital.....I wasn't happy even though I know they have no control over things like that. I smiled as I gritted my teeth and mentally groaned. :x :| All the preparation, the driving and wasted time. I came home, expecting to have a message from them on my phone (trying to catch me and stop me from driving in) but nope, no courtesy phone call, nothing. :x Maybe I should have growled a little bit while there (no, I shouldn't have and I did handle myself nicely/appropriately---I just wish they had made an effort to contact me so I wouldn't waste my time & gas driving in). So......all dressed up and nowhere to go.

I did stop by the yarn shop. :D Didn't buy anything although I did find out that I was knitting my sock inside out. :? So I tore it out while sitting there, asked a few questions so I'd not repeat my mistake and then came home to begin again. So......I guess the trip to town wasn't wasted. Heaven forbid that I should be an inside out sock knitter. I didn't even know a person could knit the darn things inside out. Trust me, if something can be screwed up---I'm your girl to do it. ;)

Okay....off to have some Chicken Noodle soup........

You weren't really bragging just sharing your joy. Now drink some water. I have a feeling we will both have losses tomorrow morning. Send out the vibrational energy and we won't need the fairy.....

Tawanda, Congrats on the size 12's; I love that brand too! What does NSV mean? I couldn't get in on this site either this morning.

Thanks Ladies. Drinking water now Biki....

Donna.....NSV means non scale victory. Something nice that isn't tied to a scale number.....can be smaller clothing, a compliment, fitting into something that was difficult or impossible before (a chair with side arms comes to mind - like in a theater or airplane)......anything that underscores how far we're making it on our weight loss journey.

I did find out that I was knitting my sock inside out.

??? What am I missing??? Why didn't you just flip it to the right side? I often start out with the sock inside out then flip it when I get to the heel.......

I know I must be missing something, I just can't figger it. Even if you were knitting the heel, all it would take is flipping it inside right......it's early, forgive me.

Hi Jo, I am still trying to wrap my mind around the concept of being able to do the sock inside out.....She (the yarn store owner) knits clockwise, I was knitting counter clockwise and she said that would make my sock inside out, which would be okay, I'd just turn the sock right side out when I finished it. I was only about 3" into the ribbing (sock pattern is top to toe ribbing, except the sole area) so I decided that I'd just tear it out and begin again, for the practice of going clockwise, right side out. She said her sister in law does it inside out and it doesn't hurt a thing, of course. She only noticed it when her SIL was making cables and wondered why they were 'inside' the sock.

So, are you knitting counter clockwise?

As for today.......I took some Tylenol PM and slept wonderfully! I still feel punky (done whining now that I mentioned it ;))...but it should be a huge help that I slept soundly.

I've got the babies coming in about 30 minutes or less and they'll be here until mid day tomorrow. I may not get to check in as often depending on how they are feeling and how well they take their nap(s).

Make it a good one!

TYlenol PM or Benadryl (what is in the Tylenol) worked better on me than Ambien. I was just to manic at the time for Ambien to work but Benadryl helped me rest! Oh, we need a special thread for you and Joleen to discuss knitting. It is the same as typing in a foreign language and I feel left out unless someone is making me some more special socks. :-P

Oh, back to the jeans topic we had yesterday. Has anyone here ever tried the custom made jeans from Land's End? They are not that expensive (around 54.00) and they ask for plenty of measurements. I don't know if I should wait to get to my goal weight which at this point is probably months and months away or get a pair of jeans I can wear. They have a guarantee if they don't fit too. You can get a slim fit so they can almost be transitional, especially since my stomach, hips and behind have been the most resistance to change. Just wanted some feedback.

So, are you knitting counter clockwise?

I'm left handed, but I knit right handed, which means I throw the yarn with my right hand. The beginning stitches start on the left needle and move to the right needle. I'm knitting counterclockwise, but the stitches move clockwise. If I haven't confused you yet, when I'm knitting a sock, my work area is on the far end of the circle as opposed to the near end.

Sojo? Ya getting all this?

Just a very fast check-in this morning. Babies are taking their morning nap. One woke at 4:30, so I'm dragging around, too. I still feel puny with this darn head cold/sore throat. Amazing how it sucks your energy to not be able to breathe well.....my sympathies to all who deal with allergies and feel this way often......it must be the pits!

Weight below ticker again this morning (yesterday's weigh in was 168, same today). I hope that the scale keeps the loss for tomorrow's roll call.

After babies go home this afternoon we have an errand to run in town and then I think it the rest of the afternoon/evening can be spent in my easy chair, with a blanket and my knitting needles. Jo, I was lost in reading your description  but I'll try to envision it again when there aren't disruptions/babies here and I can spend some time focused.

Okay, better get the kitchen cleaned up while they are napping. Hope it is a good day for everyone.

Hey T!
thanks for the post.
I guess the early rising of the babes is why we have them when we are younger eh?
Im thinking of taking a knitting class. I like to crochet, but like the final look of knitting.
I found some docker capris at Fred Meyer that fit nice. They are searsucker or beachy as my husband said. On sale too!
I have to work this summer and really dont have many summer nice clothes. I usually have a few shorts and pair them with the Old Navy shirts. Which, by the way, are like tents on me now. Yippie, more jammies.
Got to give shots to everyone today, not looking forward to it :( I think you should come over and help!!
get some rest tonite!
hugs and loves

HB, how did give the injections go? I'll come do those if you'll come irrigate the abscess in the goat's cheek........try to poke a syringe into an open wound in the side of a 120#+ goat---a goat that does not want a syringe of salt water shoved into the hole in his cheek! I laughed when the vet said to irrigate it daily.........I shouldn't have laughed, I should have cried. ;)

Day has gone well...babies went home and I have already made dinner so don't have to do anything for the rest of the night!!!
