Hi Tawanda,

Do you live in a place that's good for walking? I'm lucky because I live in a really pedestrian-friendly little city, and I have a friend who I really only see when we walk so it's a great chance for us to catch up. I also get to walk to work, to the grocery store, post office, library, etc. I love it.

But other than walking, and the occasional yoga or belly dance class, I eschew exercise. Did I use that word corrrectly?

I especially hate gyms. Don't like the smell...don't like the principle. Do like the results I see my friends getting there, but still, it's not for me ;)

You are very near the 40# club...you must feel incredible!

Take care :-P

I KNOW you didn't just say you were thinking about exercising!!!! You can't leave me on the couch all by myself!!!

I totally know what you mean, though. I've been having the same thoughts myself. It's so wierd to actually be thinking that I might ENJOY moving around! Never woulda thought it!

Congrats, congrats, congras on the halfway point!!

Just get started by moving around doing something-anything. I walk. It gets me outside and is easy. I enjoy it a lot more than DVDs. I can stop a DVD, often after the warm-up, but if I am a half a mile from my house I have to keep going!

We're both up with perfect compliance! I walked two miles yesterday! I am up 3.5 pounds in all over ticker! (It is TOM.) We keep having these similar problems even if it isn't TOM for you!!

You poor thing T,

Don't let it get you down...I was up last week too, even though I was compliant! The sky is not falling, although I'd like to see your "sky is falling" dance! LOL!

Keep your chin up, this too shall pass!

Drink your water!!!!!!

Hope you're feeling better!

Hello, Mizz T...have you considered that this may be the reason for your gain?
It's prolly just now showing up, and I'm sure it'll work itself out (flush!!) soon.

P.S. I'm with DeDe...I'd like to see "the dance" too!!

 Biki.

Well, I have no rhythm so Dede and Sojo can just imagine what the dance looked like. ;)

Biki, the fairy was very stingy with her (his?) dust and the scale only showed .5 of that lousy pound gone. My ring was tight this morning so that was my first clue that the scale wasn't going to be my friend. :?

No option but just to stay on program and committed....this too shall pass---

Sojo.......I think you are right and I knew that not getting my water in would make my body react differently than has been the norm......so it did show on the scale and in my puffy hands.

I have my water jug beside me and will continue to guzzle the water again today (guzzling is 64 oz, unfortunately--it is a rare day that I drink more than that in plain water).

Not feeling up to snuff can also do it, T. Your body starts conserving energy and hanging onto calories and pounds when it's not well.

I'm so stinkin' tired tonight. This week has been an unusual one with one of our children staying here with their children while renovations are being done at their house. One of the g'kids has asthma, and the renovations entailed a lot of dust & fumes--so they needed to be out of their house for the last 4 days. I'm use to lots of time alone and the house being quiet....this has been more activity and noise which has wore this ole' grandma out. By tomorrow night, the quiet and boring life I'm use to, should return. ;)

'nite all.

I know how you feel about the home invasion, T. I love it when my kids/grandkids are here, but they wear me out over time. I love my quiet house.
