I'm on the run this morning. I'll be spending the day taking the new g'son and his mommy to the doctor (just a check up for the little one) and then staying to help them through the day (keeping the older g'son occupied so mom & brother can rest).

I'm up .5 this morning but still below ticker so unless I screw up big time or my body rebels/turns against me , I'll have a loss at roll call.

Nothing to report otherwise...

Make it a good day!

Biki - you are so right about the photograph thing - I guess I just never though about it - wow - you sure are insightful. Posting my picture should not bother me...I am going to ponder this some more.

Tawanda - you sound like you are very busy with grandkids. Since I will be a new grandma this summer - what's it like to babysit them? I mean do you get excited when they are coming over? I am just so hesitant about all of this. My daughter is so young and no longer lives at home. Her situation is not the most ideal either. On top of that I still have three kids at home ages 17, 8, and 6. Plus I work fulltime. I always told my kids to wait until the little ones were older to have kids so that I could enjoy my grandbabies...but I guess that was wishful thinking.

I found a lot of truth in Biki's note about photos, too. I've never liked my looks and my beginning photos are so Eeyore looking (sad face/eyes, lanky hair, poor posture, frumpy/dumpy clothing) that it just underscores my feelings about looking at my photos. I show that person to everyone day in and day out in my real life......cyber life is one place that I have complete control over anyone 'seeing' me.....and that is something that I just am not sure that I want to--or am ready to do. I know it isn't 'fair' when others share themselves....and I enjoy seeing the transformation of others......so I'm working on changing my attitude towards myself and those blessed photos.

Grandkids.....love living near enough that I can be the primary babysitter and enjoy them over night. Some people don't enjoy children, some people only enjoy their own children, some people love seeing their g'kids a couple times a year and some people love having them in their lives as much as possible...........I'm one of those who loves to have them with me as much as possible so I offer to babysit often.

I lost that .5 I had gained and it took with it another .5 so roll call weigh in might just be a nice one for me. :)

OH!!! One of my children asked me if I had lost weight? I smiled and said "why?" and was told "your jeans look loose and your belly is much smaller" (I carried a lot of my weight around my middle). So I told how much weight I had lost. :D It is finally being noticed!!! :D

About time!!! :x ;)

That is so wonderful that someone noticed! And you didn't have to lose 60 pounds!

Hi Tawanda,

I'm like you in that I feel a little bit guilty about not posting photos. It is really generous of others to share.

I'm thinking I'll do it when I reach the half-way mark ;)

Enjoy the little guys today. You sound like a wonderful Grandma :D

hey tawnda!
how fun is that, a new grandbaby!
Dont worry about the llamas, they are here and will be here. Someday when life settles down, ha!, you and your dh should drive out here. There is a wonderful u-pick raspberry farm and u-pick lavender farm down the road from me.
Have fun with the baby :D

TEE,
After eleven g'kids, it's still wonderful to have them around...but not all at the same time!
You are a wonderful mom and grandmom, I can tell!

Your notes made my heart smile (and my face, too  ). Thank you.

Yesterday was spent at home, just doing housework, but no g'kids to watch. As much as I love having them here, watching two 9 month olds and a 3 year old, at the same time, was tiring. I needed a day of quiet. ;) I don't usually have the 3 year old when I have the twins, but with his new little brother arriving, I wanted to give his mom every opportunity to rest, as much as possible, in these early days. I think I'll offer to take him one day/night this week, too, if she'd like the break.

-2# this week. I did see .5# lower yesterday morning, but it found me again. :?

I hate it when that happens. It happened earlier this week for me.

Just home from church and making Mother's Day rounds. I had 3 people comment on my weight loss without me saying anything. Apparently they are seeing it in my face (I kept my coat on all day as every place we were was cold). Thankfully there were no questions beyond the 'are you losing weight? you sure look like you are' I don't see the weight loss in my face yet, but my neck is sure showing the wrinkles --- I'm getting a heck of a turkey wattle going. :? I don't think my skin is going to be very elastic at my age and with my genetics--but I do have hope that it will tighten up over time......

Hope springs eternal. ;) :)

Congratulations on the NSV's. Don't worry, most people do notice, whether they say something or not.
What do you mean, at your age?
You are young, girl, and I really think you will tighten up...that's why it's good not to lose too fast!
Whoohoo, you are doing great, TEE, and that is not idle talk!
