Hi, Tawanda. I'm new here and enjoyed reading part of your journal. (I'll get to the rest, I promise.)

I notice we have the same starting weight and same goal weight!

You have great stick- to -itness...is that a word? I am sure the scale will comply sooner than later, thanks for the possitive spins on what frustrates us all!

27 pounds loss - you are doing a great job!! However, I too get down on myself when my weight losses are bad (.5 this week for me...bummer). I liked your uplifting speech in Donica's journal. It was helpful to me. Sometimes I wish I could just throw that scale out the window...but then I would just run down the stair and retrieve it again. It's so helpful knowing that all of us are there for each other. Thanks Tawanda!!

I appreciate the input.

Weight was the same this morning, still no new loss. We had to be out the door early and spent almost 6 hours at the doctor's office (for DH), a tiring and mentally draining day. We ate lunch away from home, I had a Casear salad, with no parmesan, no croutons and the dressing on the side (dipped my fork tines in it), drank ice tea with lemon. Did not get my water drank today as I should have though.

I forgot to document a NSV that I had this morning. I was looking for something to wear this morning and as I looked through my pile of 'smaller' pants, I pulled out a pair of 14 (Eddie Bauer). I pulled them on, thinking there is no way they'd fit as I tried them on a couple weeks ago and they were a couple inches from zipping........well, they zipped no problemo and they also felt fine all day long!!! I wore 14s today!!

I wonder if I stretched them out when I tried them on last week................ :? ;)

Sizing is a crazy thing...yesterday I wore 16W and they fit just the same as these 14s......and I was feeling a bit blah about still wearing the same pants.......so screwy sizing and I'm not all that impressed (but it is still nice)....

Think about it T-WANDA, Image
A couple weeks ago, you couldn't zip those size 14's up. Today you could!
That's an impressive NSV, if I ever heard one!
I guarantee you looked skinnified in them Eddie Bauer's.
When we are shedding pounds, every little milestone is a victory to celebrate!
You know, I found that even when the scale didn't show it, I was still shrinking.
Yeah it sure is screwy, but nice!
WTG!

That is a great NSV! I haven't tried on my pile of "not quite yet" stuff from Ebay again recently but will soon. I have weighed the same for 4 days so I need some kind of pick me up~!

Same weight, different day. :?

Today I'm drinking my water, getting my supplements taken every 2.5 hours (on the dot) and tomorrow the scale will MOVE (downward....don't forget to add the DOWNWARD as the direction for the scale to move...DOWNward, not the other way!!!!).

;)

I'm staying home today.....DH has to return to the doctor's office for more testing but I cannot go with him this time as I'm watching g'kids. I wish I could go with him.....but staying home will work best for sticking 100% to the program guidelines.

I did try on a pair of shorts that have been one of my 'get small enough to fit' clothes (I hate the shorts, but haven't been able to wear them for years and years...and will probably toss the ugly things once I can wear them. ;) They did zip (improvement) but I'd die in short order if I tried to wear them.  ;) . They are a heavy denim (Lee brand) and have no stretch to them (Eddie Bauer jeans yesterday were stretch jeans)...size 16. Maybe they won't be ugly if I am actually the size meant to wear them? Hmmmmmm

Anyway, hello to all of you reading. :D

I am all about the stretch right now. It is the only way I can make things transitional and not look like my pants are falling off. When I am finally thin, I may give up the stretch but it is slimming.

Stretch is the best, especially since I gain a bunch of water when TOM rolls around. ;)

Tawanda - I too hope you DH is okay. Sounds like trying on your old clothes is giving you a well deserved boost. I did that a couple of weeks ago and was so surprised that my Levi jean shorts - you know those pants/shorts that you call the skinny ones? - fit. I was so excited. And they weren't stretch ones. My sister one time told me that when I lost my weight - not to buy any type of stretch pants - of course she is skinny - but she said as soon as the pants start to feel tight - you have no choice but to lose some weight. She said the stretch just get bigger with you. Those are probably pretty good words to live by...once we lose our weight.

Hey "T"

Just wanted to say thank you for the quick pick me up you did last week and giving me some humble pie! You were right! I am on track this week (it helped that I dropped a few more in between). Any pound or even maintenance is better than the weeks, months, years before!

I also started something different this week! I usually weigh in at the docs on Friday afternoons at 4, shoes and clothes and all. I am not doing that anymore. I am weighing in on Sunday morning when I get up and before my shower. That is the weight I will go by.

Thanks again and loved reading your journal!

Tawanda~ I'm right there with you. Same weight.....different day. And......I found this weekend that I could finally wear my skinny jeans comfortably only to discover that they are totally out of style. Darn! More shopping I guess.

Read what you wrote above somewhere......you have been compliant for 11 weeks. :coach: 11 weeks, Tawanda! That is such an accomplishment. You are succeeding regardless what the scale says. You are showing strength and resolve. You are showing that you can stay in control and that you can make good choices. All of these traits are going to be vitally important to maintenance (at least I believe they will). You have what it takes Tawanda. Don't doubt yourself!!!!

Let us know about your DH.
