Thanks Katie, I am still doing the 5-1 and will until I hit 140. I think 147 is still more than I want to weigh so am going to see how 140 feels (I hope).

How are you doing?

Hey T - long time no talk to! I think waiting until you know what "feels good" is a great attitude to have toward reaching your goal! We all get so caught up in the numbers on the scale when our bodies are better at telling us where we should be. You are almost there. Hope your "feeling it" all the way.

148#

Still battling within myself and praying that I will accept what I 'know' about eating, overeating, poor food choices, quantities (etc, etc, etc) and get to the place where I make wise choices 99% of the time instead of lapsing back into old, destructive habits when faced with difficult times.

Wrong way!

Today I will follow the Medifast program guidelines to the letter. I will also walk at least 10,000 steps.

I am so tired of battling my food desires. It is time to work harder to change my reactions to situations beyond my control. I cannot change what happens (most of the time), but I do have complete power over how I chose to respond to the stress, sadness, whatever. I do have complete control over what choices I make in response to all that happens around me.

I'm editing this to add: I will report tomorrow about what decisions I make today. I will be accountable, to myself, here--refusing to hide if I chose to make poor choices.

Dear T,

You are so right - You only have control of how you allow thing to effect you, your perception of of how much importance they have over your eat is something you can control with effort you can !

Joy, hope you are doing well.

Yesterday was not 100%. Today has been (so far). I'm not giving up on doing this right...hitting my new goal of 140# then transitioning according to the program's guidelines and then maintaining. I have been very successful in taking off a lot of weight--I want to finish, this job I've begun, properly and according to the Medifast guidelines. I will do this.

Yesterday's steps were approximately 7,400 but I also cut brush for a couple hours. That doesn't register on the pedometer as it is pretty much standing in place and using the manual hedge clippers (large scissor type tool). I did lots of bending over (cutting the briars off at ground level) and lots of arm moving. Worked up a sweat and burnt some calories :D (no clue how many..don't care--I'm just pleased that I got outside and was active).

Figured out that I can be solidly in the fat burning state by Thursday and the cravings will be done. I can do this, if I want to....now to remind myself how much I want to do this and get control over myself.
