166.5# --again..... I keep telling myself that having the scale stuck, again, is still better than a gain. ;)

Yes ! It IS better !! It will move, it will move, it will move ... DOWN :). Right now I can't even imagine being that small of a weight ... that just sounds SO small to me !! But, I know how it is, it's all relative :). Hang in there, T !

I hate my scale! (day 6 of 166.5).

Thanks everyone! I am sticking to program, drinking my water...and I know the darn scale numbers will drop at some point. My longest plateau has been something like 13 or 14 days? No longer than 15...hopefully I won't have to wait that long to have the scale change.

Hope everyone is doing well~

165.5#

Am I only one doing the program right now? Everyone waiting until after the first of the year to begin? I feel silly posting my daily weights all alone.

Believe it or not, I've been there :-P . But, I can't answer your question b/c I don't know what everyone else is doing ! I am NOT on program right now though, yet I do still come here to especially see how you are doing and try to offer support when I can, since I actually DO know what it's like to come here and not really have it ! So, please keep posting ! I guarantee that I am not too far away from being on, I have actually put in another order and *hopefully* will be getting things back into gear ... I have really wanted to start, despite the fact that the holidays are coming ... I mean, T-day is actually pretty easy, isn't it ? Turkey is great and so are veggies ... the rest is just some sort of bloom of everything else that we could *actually* have all year long, but for some reason it comes in droves during the holidays.

Anyway, *please* keep posting !

Yesterday our power was out for the majority of the day. We had to find things to do to keep ourselves busy, which wasn't too difficult until it became dark outside and we had no light, other than flashlights or candles. We have two wood stoves, so heat in the main part of the house was maintained. We do have a generator, which we have never used as we had not had a long power outage since purchasing it. We fired it up last night and enjoyed not only lights but also ran an extension cord to the microwave so everyone could nuke something for dinner, we then hooked up the refrigerator for about 90 minutes. After the frig had been running for those 90 minutes, DH was able to watch some television (Sunday night football, of course). The generator was a huge success and having some light, other than oil lamps & flashlights, made a world of difference. Thankfully our power was restored about 7 pm. I appreciate our electric company, they work so hard to make sure that the power is turned back on as fast as possible. It was not unusual for us to be without power for days during winter storms or heavy snow. Now, it is unusual for us to lose power for more than a few hours. Yesterday was one of the longest periods of time, that we were without power, in years.

Weight this morning....164! :)

Thanks Karli and Oksoonergal!

Fast check in, new grandbaby born yesterday!

Weight this morning was 163#!

Life is busy right now (and so much fun!!!). I will probably just do a fast check in each day since my computer time is so limited.

I plan on staying strong and committed to being on program through the Thanksgiving days (Thursday through Sunday).

Hope everyone is doing well and staying focused!

:? weight up to 164 this morning. I don't know why but I just keep telling myself to not worry about it...I know I stuck to program and that I didn't mess up, so it has to be water weight...but I didn't eat anything out of the normal for my L & G. Oh well....it will go away.

Hope everyone is doing well and enjoys their Thanksgiving gathering.

Thanks Karli.....but the scale shows another .5# -- heavier this morning! UGH! I know I've been on program and not having anything off program, I drank plenty of water so it isn't dehydration.....the only thing I've had different is more puffs yesterday (2 packages) than I usually have. I needed something easy to carry & eat at the hospital and I am almost out of bars, so I had puffs with me, too. I am puzzled and, I'll admit, disappointed to see a gain two days in a row (heck, one day is too many to see a gain). But I know I have been doing the program as I should, so it isn't a true gain, just a stupid higher number on the scale. Bah humbug! LOL

We had our thanksgiving dinner last night. I kept it to a L & G of turkey breast and veggies (broccoli & cauliflower). The only sigh I had during the meal was avoiding the dessert, if I had planned my day a bit better, I could have made something special for my dessert using a supplement (thinking a shake cake or something similiar). But I was determined not to let this occasion of giving thanks to turn into a food fest.

Grandchildren awake and calling for me....gotta go.

Happy thanksgiving!

Hi! I made it through Thanksgiving without going off program, but I will not lie and say it was 'easy'. It was not at all an easy day. I actually put a frosted pumpkin cookie into my mouth, but stopped myself before I put my teeth into it. I threw it away immediately.

I wonder if I will ever be free of the desire to eat sugary foods----and eat them in excess.

I wanted to grab handfuls of cookies....I wanted to take an entire pumpkin pie and a dish of whipped cream. I wanted to eat those foods until I was so full that I could only moan, groan and nap the afternoon away.

I was sad about not being able to do that ever again.

But then I made myself look at how far I've come since September 20th. I have found the desire and the strength to get back on program, to lose the 38# I had regained and to return my body to my goal weight. I've lost more than half the regained weight so far, if I do not waiver I will get the rest of the weight off in the coming weeks (perhaps taking a couple months at the rate I'm going). I am approximately 5# over 'normal' weight for my height (according to the BMI chart). I am so close to getting my healthier body back......and getting back my pride in how I look.

So....I made it through yesterday's food fest. It was not easy, maybe it will never be easy and it will always be a challenge (daily challenge) to avoid the food triggers. I am a binge eater. I do not have an 'off button' for my eating and appetite, at least not until I feel ill from consuming so much food. I'm ashamed of the amount of food that I've been able to eat .. I no longer want to be that person. I know it will not be easy--and that some days I may lose the battle to avoid the foods. I just pray I only lose a tiny battle here and there--that I never regain enough weight to go back in the 'overweight' part of the BMI chart (where I am right now) or back to the 'obese' area---where I was for many years.

I am retaining the 1.5# I regained earlier this week. That added some of my sadness and desire to eat off program yesterday. To follow the program without taking bites, licks and tastes off program only to see a regain? Yeah, discouraging.

But I know I have stuck to program, so the weight coming back is not fat regained and has to be water retention for some reason. It will go away if I am diligent and not waiver.

So....that is it for me.

I hope everyone had a great day with family and friends, did not over indulge to the point of needing to nap (LOL) and will be checking in soon.

T.

Good morning :)

Weight still 'stuck' at 164.5# (3rd day? 4th day?). My lowest this past week was 163....sure hoping I get to see that number (or lower, LOL) tomorrow morning. This being on program and regaining isn't much fun..

The site is too quiet... :(
