-2.5# for roll call.......but I usually weigh before 5 a.m. and this morning didn't weigh until 7, slept in a long time past our usual, so the scale was kinder than it might have been. I'll take it anyway. ;)

First cup of coffee being enjoyed while I read the posts...

I don't know if it's the same on WW but I used to love it when I could actually make myself sleep until 6:30 or 7 on MF. It just seems like the longer you sleep the more water you lose and the better the scale is. I got up this morning at 4:30 but eventually I hope to see if the same phenomenom occurs with WW.

Because we get to sleep in on the weekends, I know the scale is a bit kinder than it is on the weekdays just because I do have more water weight loss.. Yesterday I missed a supplement and then didn't have a L & G because I was wrapped up in some emotional hurt from a friend (inadvertant hurt). I was ready to eat, had my chicken baking, but then the bomb was dropped and along with it went my appetite. I did make myself have a supplement about 8, but it turned out to be a 5 & 0 day.
There are many times when I think it is time to shove this darn metal box (computer) into the trash can and get myself more into the 'real' world. Robin (Dogma) is so wise to shift her focus from here to real life friends, because ultimately those are the people that we need to nurture relationships with. (Just my opinion---especially in the last 24 hours).

I understand your point and realize it was partially influenced by an event you referred to. I am sorry it seems to have been upsetting. Rather than throw my computer in the trash can, kind of black or white thinking, I prefer to try to live my life with a little moderation these days. I am sitting here at the computer eating my lunch and thought I would read some posts. I really don't feel transported from the real world. I am just doing something while having some food.

Sorry to hear about your upset.
Sometimes I feel the same way about getting on the boards here. I tune out for a couple days but I seem to be drawn back in. I don't really feel I am not in the real world, but perhaps I feel that right now folks here can relate a little more to my journey. Also, people here are more inclined to celebrate those little accomplishments that our friends may not notice or even see as important.
I am going to start cutting back my time here though. I hope you know that if you left completley you would be missed.

I'm sorry if I gave the wrong impression.....my upset wasn't here at all, nor tied to anyone here. I spend far too much time at the computer and far too much time 'talking' with people online instead of working on making friends in real life. For me, this isn't good.....I should be getting out of the house and into town to interact with others. Many weeks I only see my DH, the grands & their parents. I only talk to others via phone or internet. I need to stretch myself to begin contacting people I use to visit with locally and begin doing things outside the house to cultivate new relationships instead of being a hermit tied to this box.

I'm probably not explaining it well.......but, no, I wasn't referring to anything or anyone here. This site and all of you have been so helpful, kind and encouraging. I've enjoyed 99% of the interactions I've had here and even though I grouse about stepping away from this computer, I cannot imagine stepping completely away from this site for a long time.

Youse guys is special.... ;) (truly you are).

It is important to interact on the outside. I take the weekends off and don't go near the computer at all. I figure the computer world will survive without me. '

However, what I enjoy most about my computer friends is that I can say what I'm really thinking and feeling, be opened with my thoughts and not have to worry about what any is going to think. there is a real freedom here which I so much enjoy.

In the beginning of MF I think it was really important that I had access to people who understood why I chose this program and how great it was. My friends thought I was crazy to select a program which they thought was all liquid. there are still times when I try to explain you do eat but they don't get it. Well that's there problem not mine.

One of my friend's daughter writes for a newspaper and she is doing an article on losing weight after 50. She will be interviewing someone from WW, someone from Nutrasystem and she asked me to participate. I've decided I'll do it. I only hope I do the program justice.

Ah guys, I'm sorry.........life is just especially hard lately. I'm grumpy, tired and not at all good company. I do check posts daily but that is as much as I'm able to do for now. I'll be back when things ease up.

Well, I got up........so that means another crappy day in paradise has begun.

Weight up 2.5#, isn't that special.

Yeah, Tawanda is grumpy......just keep your distance until she gets over herself.

Babies will be here again today...want to wager who is going to be crankier, them or me?

Just a little heads up........I wouldn't bet against me.........

Ok, young lady....pull up those boot straps, put a smile on your face and pretend to be cheerful. If you do, I'll bet you start feeling better.

Oh, T, sorry you're having such a rough time right now. And I DO understand what you mean about the real world. Some people balance computer stuff and in-person stuff better, I guess, but I'm with you. I tend to spend too much time on the computer, e-mailing or posting here, and not enough time out interacting with people. Which, again, is fine for some but not so fine for others.

Take care, and don't worry about the scale. Mine was conspiring against me today, too.
