Totally tiny tushy, Tawanda!

Geez, you look so ridiculously fantastic (and scary young, like, the fact that you're a grandma blows my mind), it's truly amazing!

Yeah, my body type completely changed too, it's weird, right? I never had any tush or hips (wish I did, I can't keep pants up, and I am not kidding), but it's funny how the body literally looks different. Not just a thinner version of old Lauren, a whole new Lauren. I used to have enormous tatas, and now they're virtually gone - and residing in a different time zone - but I digress. And after my surgery in January, they will truly be gone, which is just odd, to go from having good laughs over huge tatas, to laughing about tiny ones. Who am I? So I understand why you keep looking at the pics - it's not vanity, it's just you probably keep saying "Is that actually me? Me? Really? Are you sure? Is that what I look like to others? Is it real? Can it last?" That's what I did...still do. I still have moments where I totally don't recognize myself in a picture. It's wonderful and oddly disconcerting all at the same time, so don't get scared if you have some moments of feeling off from it, there's a little bit of losing identity that goes along with this. Promise it gets easier!

You rock!

It is strange how our bodies change. I am finding my waist to be so small compared to my hips that yesterday at Nordstroms the person that does alterations said if she took in the waist on my slacks that much it would put the rear pockets out of shape. Who woulda thought I would ever have that problem
You look fab!

Lauren, you've pegged it. I have a hard time realizing the body in the photos and in the mirror is mine. It is a different shape than I've ever had before. When I weighed 124# for years (after having my children), I wore a size 9/10 . I even saved a pair of the jeans from those days (pre-stretch denim). The pants are too big for this 150# body. The waist is snugger than it was at 124# (uncomfortably snug) but the butt & thigh area is too baggy. I don't get it, 26# heavier but yet smaller. Part of me is concerned that I've lost so much muscle from years of inactivity and age, that it is the reason for the difference in body build. I guess I look at the photos and in the mirror so much just so that I can imprint my size in my brain. It doesn't seem right.

I grab a tiny size Medium shirt off the rack and think "There is no way in the world that this will fit me, why even try to put it on". I put it on, it fits perfect. I cannot believe it (puzzlement more so than amazement). I'm having a very difficult time with the whole thing.

If I sound confused.....I am. LOL

Mickey, I use to have to take in the waist of all my pants starting about mid hip. Not no more..... :( . Congratulations to you on having a little waist.

Oh, another spot where I'm 'thicker'.....I use to wear a 32DD BBF (before becoming fat), now I'm in a 36C....don't get the smaller jeans & top but still have a much larger ribcage......

All so confusing (but wearing the 6s is very nice confusion ;) LOL).

When I was in college my room mate wore size 10 jeans and I could never quite squeeze into them. Now a 10 fits fairly well and I am hoping to see an 8 before all is said and done. Like you, I can't quite figure out why this new body is shaped so much different from the younger body. :?

Oh well, I am starting to get pretty attached to this new body of mine! :D

Heading out to the Pumpkin Patch with a couple of the grands today...otherwise just doing housework & yardwork chores.

I agree Biki - I am half-Spanish/Basque myself but I get my fat fanny from my mother's English/Irish clan!

Tawanda - that is so exciting about the changes in your body shape! I had a similar body type to yours pre-fat days. I am already starting to notice some of the changes you mentioned. My jeans are baggy in the thighs even though the waist is comfortable. I don't know what they look like from the back. I will have to ask my daughter.

Good morning!

-2.5# for roll call.......but I usually weigh before 5 a.m. and this morning didn't weigh until 7, slept in a long time past our usual, so the scale was kinder than it might have been. I'll take it anyway. ;)

First cup of coffee being enjoyed while I read the posts...

I don't know if it's the same on WW but I used to love it when I could actually make myself sleep until 6:30 or 7 on MF. It just seems like the longer you sleep the more water you lose and the better the scale is. I got up this morning at 4:30 but eventually I hope to see if the same phenomenom occurs with WW.
