I have to change the food a lot for the "hide the pill in the food" trick to work. Although Teemu did enjoy his Junior Mints when he had that hematoma on his paw a couple of months ago. (But you have to be careful because of the chocolate. He's big and only needed two a day for a week or so, which is well within safe limits from everything I read.)

With Maggie, I had to shove 'em down her throat, eventually. I didn't like doing it, but it was easier than fighting with her when she kept refusing to eat whatever I'd hid the pills in. Oddly enough, she fought much less when I just shoved 'em in and made her swallow. And then she'd still get whatever treat I had planned, but unadulterated by the nasty pills.

I didn't want to resort to pushing them down their throats because they had teeth extracted (were on pain pills for a few days due to the extractions)...so didn't want to be manhandling their mouths and possibly inflicting more pain on them. So, it has been little bits of cream cheese on bagels, little bits of cheese which didn't work as well as the bagel/cream cheese, and this morning's fiasco was jerky treats---that didn't work at all, they were able to spit the pills out and eat the jerky. :D Clever critters!

Ha. Yeah, I used to use American cheese or sometimes those little Laughing Cow things if that's all I had. But when Teemu was hurt he decided he no longer liked American cheese. Or cream cheese. Or peanut butter. Sometimes Cheez Whiz works, though. Those guys are too darn smart for their own good!

They actually MAKE a product called Pill Pockets for just this purpose, but my kids never liked 'em.

Weight today is 149.5, yesterday was 149. Two days in a row below 150 has me wearing a HUGE smile. :D

Babies are here until tomorrow afternoon...walking a lot more than they did last week so it will not be long when crawling will be forgotten and running will happen.... fun and busy times.

Robin, I'm still getting practice at hiding pills in food for the dogs. The cream cheese on whole wheat bread is still working (thankfully). I will be glad when their meds are gone and I can quit making sandwiches for the dogs. LOL

Guess that is the news from here...pretty boring.

HB, if you are reading.........I miss you! Please pop in, say 'hello' and let me know how you are doing.

Wow! I had no idea I was letting my journal slip for this many days. The weekend was really busy and so was yesterday. Absolutely NO water drank yesterday and the scale is showing my H20 avoidance...... :? up to 151.5 this morning. Hopefully I'll drop back down soon (yes, I'm drinking water today).

Babies are here, today will be busy and I'd better get my attention back on them.

It was wonderful to see Robin and HB post---and to see Sojo pop in, too. Safe journey to Lizabette and welcome to all the new losers! :D

uh oh babies are crying! Gotta go!

T, you really shouldn't be so quiet, dear. We were afraid the kiddies had you tied to a chair and were gathering tinder for a fire.
