My sentiments exactly! I cheated early on but got right back on track. This is totally different from my previous times of trying to lose weight. In the past, once I messed up I continued to go down hill but I have a totally different attitude now. Let's keep on keepin' on T!

I do feel badly about letting some of you down that may have been thinking 'I can do this because Tawanda can do it'.....that is partly why I hesitated to mention it, I didn't want my failings to trip anyone up. But then again, it was partially a cop-out because I also didn't want to admit that I did what I encouraged others not to do. I'm eating a portion of crow over it (it is okay---lean meat). I felt dishonest by being selective of what I shared in my journal.....and failing to journal my off program nibbling was being selective.

So.......now you know the dirty secret. :D Tawanda loves cashews (they are all gone and will not be brought back into the house until I'm in maintenance -- poor DH whose lunches they went into,) and Tawanda cannot be trusted with Caramel Nut bars when certain emotions/feelings get triggered by outside sources. Once these Caramel Nut bars are gone, I will not be ordering any more of them, they taste too much like a candy bar for me.

Thank you Biki, HB & Donna!

Too funny Unknown, I have thought that SO many times when shopping! "Heck, if I were a 6 or an 8, I could get LOTS of nice things CHEAP!"

Tawanda - I know you must feel better for having come clean. And don't worry about letting others down. It's more important for you to be yourself on this journey and do whatever you have to for success. For anybody who was disappointed, there were probably two or three people who said "oh, thank God, she's human!!" We all thought you were Clark Kent with your Super-Knitter, Super-Grandma, Super-Wife schtick.

We still love you, cashews and all!!

The Saks End of Year/Christmas sale is what I am going to miss most. They have lots of clothes that come in every size from 2 to 22, sometimes 24. As all the middle numbers sellout, the prices get lower and lower. Finally when only two sizes are left, usually a 2 and a 24, you can save hundreds. The closer it gets to Christmas the prices drop daily. I have a gorgeous Dana Buchman shirt that was originally priced $450 that I got for $100! I literally got compliments every time I wore it, even from people who had seen it before! I will still shop the Saks sale but I bet I won't be getting those types of bargains anymore!

158 again this morning.

Cashews, when I had them it was not handfuls.......it was 4 or 6 at a time and most days it stayed only 4 or 6 for that entire day. I guess it could have been termed a 'snack', but cashews aren't approved as a MF program snack so it is most positively an off program 'cheat'.

The extra bars.......those caramel nut ones taste wonderful. I had an extra bar a few times and then, this Sunday, ate 4. I do journal when I cheat, so I am making myself accountable and acknowledging it.....and I did write to my HA to tell her that I had begun the cashew crunching and bar cheating. I did not like the feeling of 'my dirty little secret' even though it is just myself that I am letting down and hurting.

I was ashamed of cheating and not keeping in control but I also hoped that I wasn't going to screw up someone else's journey by not staying compliant.

Anyway....hated eating crow (forgot to pluck the bird before consuming) so I have promised myself that I will immediately post if I eat off program which may be enough to keep me on the straight and narrow path. :)

Yesterday's water was 6 glasses and I did the half mile trip to the mailbox/back, twice.......so 1 mile of walking.

There is a lot to read and catch up on this morning on the boards, so I'd better get to it.

Thank you for sharing. You are doing the right thing by seeing what you are doing and seeing how not to do it again.

157.5 this morning. DH took a vacation day today and also on Monday so another nice long weekend. I'm suppose to watch a g'child today but his brother began running a temp. of 102 & then began vomiting, so not sure if I'm watching both g'kids (not the twins) or if their mom will have to cancel her dental appointment. Poor little tykes. Then Monday I've got the twins for the day, so..........no long weekend vacation for me & DH.

Have a good day everyone.

It turned out to be a very rushed day. I did babysit, but only the 3 month old as my older grandchild was feeling well enough to keep the appointment. I ended up babysitting for almost 3 hours instead of 1.5, so that cut into my available errand time as we had to be somewhere at 3 pm. Got home at 6:30, made a chicken salad for dinner and then just 'sat' for the rest of the night. Slept in until almost 7  which is very late for us. It felt wonderful.

157.5 again today.

A couple NSVs yesterday as I saw 3 people that I'd not seen for a couple of years. They didn't recognize me at first. :D My hair is a lot longer than I use to wear it, so that may have been part of it.....but I think the majority of their surprise was the weight loss (none of them mentioned my weight, they just said "I didn't recognize you!"). My DH had to point me out to one friend....."She's over there"......."where is she?" "over there, in the purple shirt" "That's her?!" :D Pretty darn great.....

I made cinnamon rolls this morning as a treat for DH. They smelt wonderful and so did the sour cream frosting......it is going to be a tough one to keep my eyes and mind off of them, me thinks. I just need to remember how close I am to goal, how far I've come and how very important it is to me to continue feeling this good---and feeling this good about myself. If I keep all that in the forefront of my mind--I can continue to stay away from them.
