hang in there!

I figure for me, that better say less when I can not be positive... I was off plan for Thanksgiving and fear the scale right now

I am waiting until Monday to weight in? Maybe tomorrow?

hope you will have some change soon. do you see anything like last time, the same stick points? I think it is the same this time because I recall it was a long effort from 185 to 179/178 for me and then slow again.

Perhaps our bodies have set points?

Well, another day done (supplement wise anyway). I am hoping that tomorrow my body and scale will be kind :D and show me a nice size loss for the week. Joy, I did have a small gain, such as the current one, a couple weeks ago (after doing firewood). Maybe this will be my new way of losing the weight....lose some, regain it and then lose it for good (I hope it is for good anyway, LOL).

I refuse to allow myself to stress over it (the regain). I've not gone off program so the weight gain is not anything more than water retention.

It is not easy to continuously turn my back on all the sugary goodies sitting around the house. I have to be constantly on my guard and giving myself pep talks - that I want to continue to be successful on this program, that getting to a healthy weight is much more pleasurable than eating some empty calorie, sugar laden food. I'm getting tired of the battle....but I refuse to give up.....I will fight (and win) as long as I am able!

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend!

-1# this week (weight 164#). Earlier in the week I was 1# less than I am right now, so that is somewhat disappointing (that the second pound did not go away yet). I would have loved to have kept a 2# loss for the week---but 1# is better than none, at least that is what I keep telling myself. Oh well------It is what it is....

You reserve impresses me-I didn't even try to fight my temptation and I am not going anywhere near a scale for at least week. I am not sure anyone has an on/off switch. I think we just have to get up each day and deny ourselves what we want because it isn't good for us and in the end we will succeed. I totally admire you for making it through Thanksgiving.

Hi and thanks you two for coming by.

163.5# this morning so a little drop on the scale but still not down to where I was last Wednesday (I think it was Wednesday). Oh well..... I have my supplements & water packed along with a shaker cup. I will be spending this week helping out at the new grandbaby's home. Being the go-fer, toddler watcher, baby holder and the driver to doctor's appointments. I'll be gone from home from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. each day.

Hope everyone has a good week.

Hey, T.! Happy Turkey, and congrats on mustering though the holidays! You're doing great, and no, it's not always easy, but you are succeeding!

I wanted to give you a major heads up that the cheese puffs and cinn sticks and such have MEGA sodium levels, compared to the oatmeals and puddings and stuff. If you're anything like me, you may be super sensitive to sodium, and hanging on to water, which may very well explain the weight gains (especially that day after you had two of them). It's not a reason to stop eating them, since it's just water weight, but perhaps it will make you feel better intellectually, if you KNOW you're doing everything else right.

Keep on keepin' on, pretty lady!

Thanks Lauren! I wondered about it, but had poured the packages into ziploc baggies and that was the end of my supply so no packages to (easily) check.

It is wonderful to 'see' you....I'm off to read your November post.

161.5 this morning! That was an 1.5# drop since yesterday morning and puts me back into the 50# club! I have 2 tickers going, one for daily weights that only I see and the second is the Sunday weights. Don't be thinking I wasn't tempted to switch over my ticker to show the newer lower weight. LOL

Now I am only 3# away from being in the normal BMI weight range..so excited for the day to arrive when that happens again. I pray I'll never allow myself to rise above a normal weight again.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you Unca for changing me to the 50# club!

This morning's weight was 162 (up .5# from yesterday) but still holding onto the 50# lost, thankfully. It would be a shame to lose it again. ;)

Thank you Karli & Joy. :) I cannot say that staying compliant is 'easy' right now, with all the goodies every where you look--but it is also not overly hard when I remind myself of what my feelings were at my heaviest (222#),what they were at my lowest in years (144# - due to Medifast) and then how I felt when I regained the 38#, eating my way back up to 185#. It makes it easier, to avoid going off program, when I visualize how miserable I was when I would eat whatever I wanted in the quantities that I wanted.... This feeling, is far preferrable.

This morning I have a big dental appointment---ugh! Then I'm spending the rest of the day helping care for the newborn grandbaby & family. I am looking so forward to some free time this weekend.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Made it through the dental appointment. :? Spent the rest of the day helping with grandchildren. The new baby isn't feeling well, thankfully seeing the doctor tomorrow for a 2 week check up.

I also made it through another day on program. :D

Congratulations on your continuing success, despite having lots of temptation and stress in your life! Reading your journal makes me realize that I can do this, I just have to adjust my mind set-so please, please keep your positive posts coming!

Hi Oksoonergal.....thank you. :)

This morning the scale is my friend....LOL, all that baby holding, changing a bazillion diapers a day, playing cars on the rug with the older children, doing errands, taking out the trash (the bazillion diapers usually)...etc, etc, etc, is working on helping me shed some pounds this week. 160.5# this morning!!!!! :cleader:  I'm getting closer and closer to that 'normal' weight and I'm excited about being less than 15# from my goal weight, once again.

I track my weight in FitDay, it projects where your weight will be in 4 and 8 weeks, if you continue to lose at the rate you are recording. Right now the numbers show that I will not be at 147 by Jan. 1st, 2010, but I knew that already...it was too much weight to lose, even on Medifast, in the span of time I was desiring. But, it does look like I have a chance to get down into the low 150's--which is not shabby at all. I'm thrilled at the thought of getting back into 'normal weight range'...anything extra between that weight and the first of the year is going to be just more to smile about. I know goal weight will appear again...and soon. I have made it this far and I will not let myself down. 147# will be a reality for me again...and I will be much more careful about transitioning, then maintaining my weight after that.

I hope everyone is doing well.
