Wow, 173 is awesome !! That seems *so* far away to me right now, but I know that if I stick to the program, I can get there, too. Hoping that your day goes well today, Tawanda, and that yuckies keep showing themselves out the door !

Feeling much better this morning, thank you for the kind notes.

172.5# this morning! :D I've lost 4.5# since last Thursday. Amazing! I keep waiting for the next plateau and am thankful for every bit of weight that comes off. I know it won't always melt off this quickly (12.5# since September 20th)--but it sure is awesome while it happens. It makes me wonder why in the world I messed around so long before getting myself back onto the program? I do know why....I was unable to get the mindset and find the desire to be on program more than I wanted to continue to eat off program foods. Sounds so easy, but is so very hard to make ourselves do it.

Only .5# before I can claim my 40# club status back. :)

10 weeks and 1 day until January 1st...my goal by then is 147, but that means losing a bit over 2.5# per week until then. I am not sure that is doable, but I'm going to stay on program and get as close to my goal as I possibly can. It would be wonderful to hit 147 by January 1st, but I will be happy with getting back into the 'normal' weight range on the BMI chart (for my height, that is 158# or lower).

Whether you get there by New Year's or not, you'll certainly be closer. And in the grand scheme of things, it doesn't REALLY matter if you reach your goal on Jan. 1 or Jan. 15, right? The important thing is that you're back on track and you WILL get there.

You are so right Robin. It does not matter and I do not care if I am at 147 on January 1st. I will be close to it and I will get there, if not by that day, then soon afterwards. At first I wanted 147 on that day---but I wasted 7 weeks after I made that promise to myself---7 weeks of not following program and losing valuable time that I could have gotten to goal by Jan. 1st. Now, I am just thankful that, come January 1st, I will be (probably) in the 150's and nearing 147 again.

I messed up and gained back so much weight--I think it was 38# that I regained (not stopping to do the math). I hope that this time I've learnt my lesson---watch myself more closely and care more about myself instead of just tossing my hands in the air as I shove my face into the food when life gets hard.

How are you doing? It is good to hear from you. :)

Up .5# this morning (173#). :? I know it is just weight fluctuation and, possibly the beginning of another stall period...but still is a bit of a bummer to not see those scale numbers fall daily. Not that I'm watching closely or anything........LOL

heh, boy do I know about the "watching closely" bit :-P . It's precisely why I need to have serious bouts of staying OFF the scale since it's SO easy to associate our success with seeing the number on the scale ! In any respect, I know you are trying to brace yourself for whatever it may read tomorrow, as well, but I bet it won't be a stall. I bet it's just a "funny" thing this morning.

Cheers !

Thanks Karli--I am a scale watcher which isn't always a bad thing nor a good thing....... I have been sticking to program (other than the couple pieces of bacon last weekend) so I know the scale will continue to show a weight loss even if it does go up on some days. Today though it wavered between 171.5 and 172....so I put 172 on my daily weight record and am smiling, within myself, every time I think of that 171.5. Getting so close to 169.5...........eager to say good-bye to 170s...Hopefully forever!

172 puts me back into the 40# club! I will send a PM to Unca tomorrow if the scale is behaving and not above it (172). I know I've been slacking on the water drinking so need to work on that today.

I am still battling some of the virus symptoms but feel so much better than I did. All the grandchildren seem to be over their symptoms, too. If this was the H1N1 virus, we came through it pretty fine. Only one child needed care & steriods from the doctor for a lung problem--otherwise all is well.

You know what? You'll be so busy living that you won't even notice the changes. I am sure you are losing so many inches and getting so toned up that you are proud of that on its own. Have a great weekend. I know you'll do great.

Thanks Teresa for the encouragement. :)

171.5 this morning so that is 2.5 loss for the week. :)
I am looking forward to next Sunday's weigh in and hoping that I'll be in the 160s at that time.

171.5# again this morning (third day--so hopefully soon will see a drop).

I joined a 6 week challenge on another MF site and one of the criteria is to drink 8 cups of water each day (one of my things I get lax about doing daily). I am drinking 9 cups a day, hoping that will help me drop some weight soon, too.

I did make the oatmeal pudding cups again. This time I used the baking powder, more cinnamon, some pumpkin pie spice and had no splenda so dissolved an Equal tablet in hot water then added it to the oatmeal. They are still chewy/rubbery but there is a tiny bit (only a tiny amount) of added flavor. I wonder now about making the oatmeal into cookies (or trying the brownie recipe) and then putting the extra thick pudding between the cookies/brownies. Setting them in the freezer and having a faux ice cream sandwich?

I guess I could just eat the supplements as they are designed, too. LOL

Hoping to see 170 soon.......heck, I'd be happy to skip 170 and just slide down to 169.5---- ;)
