Hi Tawanda !
I'm back for the long haul with all of you !
Let's liven up this board with "one step at a time" thinking !

I do not want gastric bypass, which is what my Dr suggested-Yikes !
I have two weeks of MF on my counter and have mixed up my first shake of the day !

Glad to see that you're still here !

Pam :)

Well, day 3 of my 1 millionth restart! I am praying that this is my last restart, that I will stay strong on my commitment to myself. I'm down 3.5# but that really doesn't mean anything because I gained weight (again). UGH!

But that was history (the gain) and the now is excellent in my mindset (made it through an unexpected trip to a fast food place yesterday--I ordered a diet soda---had a headache and wanted the caffeine). I was so happy with myself (still am cheering myself - in my little mind). I can do this. More importantly, right this minute (and for the prior 2 days) I have *wanted* to do it. Excited and committed.....I pray I keep this mindset.

Here is to a great week.......16.5 weeks until January 1st 2010, when I will be at 147!

Thank you for the vote of confidence, Karli! You only have 21# to goal? Wonderful!!!

I'm back up .5 this morning, that doesn't make me smile, but it doesn't surprise me either. I struggled yesterday and ended up having a 7-1 day along with 2 diet 7-up. I know that I can do this and will do it (mindset is still good and motivation strong) but yesterday was a long day with the munchies. I just told myself that no food other than supplements. So, I ended up adding some of the Honey Mustard pretzels and also a packet of the Parmesan cheese puffs. With those two 'cheats' and the diet sodas..I made it through the day without eating higher calorie foods.

Steps yesterday was only 4680, I need to work on getting that up closer to 10,000 (won't happen if I keep sitting in the chair with the laptop so often through my day).

I need to adjust my ticker...haven't done that for awhile.

Hope everyone had a nice, extended, weekend.

Let's get this done (and keep it done!)

Today is my day 5 on program. I'm very happy that I've made it for 4 days and pray that this determined mindset will stick with me.

My L & G meal is challenging. I ate primarily chicken salads for my L & G while on program until I hit goal. I enjoyed them, it was a no brainer to make and I didn't feel deprived. I made other meals for my husband, no problem. This time though, I'm having a tough time with chicken salads. I dislike food prep also and now we have 3 other people (2 of them children) who are needing meals. It is much harder for me in regards to the L&G...I do have to make something just for me as what they eat 99% of the time is not program acceptable. A true challenge!

You're doing great ! I am waking up to day 3 myself and feeling happy about that ! It's nice to have you here, too. Chicken and salad is pretty much our standby L/G around here, though Hubby always has pasta or bread with it and that's hard enough to be around ... and I don't even have to cook it ! You will be stronger for the challenge.

Have a great day :) .

Hi Karli, last night was very challenging! Hot crescent rolls odor surrounding me, a crock pot meal all day long making lovely smells in the house. I did not have any bread. I did have the crock pot meat mixture (stew meat, tomatoes, other veggies) but put mine on top of a bed of greens instead of noodles like the rest of the family. I made it through the day, but it was not one of my easier days. All 4 grandchildren were here in the evening, overnight, also will be here today and tomorrow. Quarreling, noise, constant requests make the days stressful and frustrating for me. Children are wonderful, grandchildren are a blessing- but I love my quiet, peaceful home, too, I miss it when it isn't happening.

Hope everyone is doing well.

Congratulations for avoiding the temptation of the crescent rolls! Bread is the one thing I just can't seem to kick the craving of (and cereal). Sounds like you are determined and I admire that. I also have grown weary of the chicken salad and I am just so tired to try anything new.

I'm struggling again. Made it for 7 days and then had an off program meal. Made it a few more days okay and then blew the program big time. I'm back up where I started and tomorrow will be only 15 weeks until Jan. 1st 2010......this isn't looking good and I'm not proud of myself. :x
