It may seem like just a little victory to not pop one tiny M&M in your mouth, but I know that it's really a huge thing. Because it's a victory over being mindless. I hope you have a good day today, too.

I had a whole dream about M&M's two nights ago. And I don't even like them much!! Maybe we're psychically connected.

All the grands were here overnight. I already hate today and want to run away. Whining, fighting, tattling.....and ....... 4 children under the age of 5 is difficult for me.

I made waffles but didn't eat any of them. Funeral later today and my pants are so flippin' tight that I hope I can stand to wear them (and sit, too). Darn me!

I have no idea of what my weight is---didn't weigh myself this morning, but I did have a great day yesterday. Knowing I was going to be wearing those size 8 dress slacks, when I really should be in 10 or 12s.......that pretty much made me behave when I wanted to thrown in the towel.

Getting the weight off this time is so much more difficult than it was when I initially took off the weight. I don't have the drive, the focus and determination that I had before.....I also don't have the success behind me (of dropping pounds and getting into smaller sizes).

Do NOT do what I've done (gaining so much weight back). It is not worth it.

Sorry for the grumpy post....I'm in a foul mood. Appearing in public wearing too tight of clothing just adds to an already sad day. Blech! Darn me anyway!

Aw, T, I'm sorry. Tight pants and a whole gang of little kids to take care of would definitely do me in, too!

Hang in there, and good job on the waffles. (And I hope your day gets better, although I don't know that going to a funeral can really brighten anyone's day.)

Tight pants suck. Not comfortable at all and hard to concentrate. And, iI taught Kindergarten before HS, so I am with you on the kids getting on the nerves bit. Hmmm, do they got easier as they get into HS?

There's always an M & M-free tomorrow loomin' on the horizon. It will be great!
Don't really care as long as everything's better than yesterday was...

Boy do I loathe wearing clothes that are too tight ! I also *refuse* to buy bigger clothing after a certain point (though I had to buy bigger jeans this last fall since I didn't only look like a stuffed sausage in my old ones, but I actually couldn't zip them up no matter what I did !). I can understand how that would not be a delightful experience.

You can find your motivation again. It may not come in the same ways until you have a few weeks behind you, back on program, but it's still there, waiting for you to engage it ! Keep going, Tawanda ! You can do it :).

Tight pants, whining kids, and a funeral...I am so sorry. You sound like you are doing way better than I would in your situation. I would have pigged out on the waffles at least.

Hi everyone.

I did wear the tight pants to the funeral, with a tunic type top, I did NOT have anything to eat at the reception after the funeral even though there were some wonderful looking food choices (sugary, calorie laden table and also a table of things to make sandwiches along with salads).

Weight is back up to 178. Still having a hard time with sticking to program for more than a day or two at a time. I get so disgusted with myself when I make it through the majority of a day on program and then decide to eat dinner with the rest of the family instead of having a program acceptable L & G. I give into my foody desires way too easily.

So, each day is a struggle to get or stay on program. I just don't have the determination and desire to get these 30# off that I've gained. I don't know what it is going to take......gaining back the other 30+ pounds until I'm obese again? I'm not that far from hitting the 'obese' weight on the BMI chart.....Closer to obese than I am to normal BMI right now, I believe. UGH!

There are a bazillion (okay, not quite a bazillion) posts, once again I've fallen behind on my reading and checking in.....

Did I mention that I'll be babysitting another grand in less than a year....oh yeah......5 children under the age of 6 will be in my life. Blessings (!!!!!!!) and challenges.

So, if I'm going to have another little one around and still play games with and give horsey back rides, play frisbie and such, with the other little ones.....I'd better get these lousy 30# off and not gain an ounce more. I don't want to look like Grandma Jabba the Hut (did I get the name right?).... I want to be the slim and healthy grandmother who can run and play and fit in the swings at the park and play teeter-totter with the grands.....

(that was this morning's pep talk to myself........LOL).

Hope everyone is doing well and sticking to program!

I'm still struggling with desiring to get myself onto and staying on program. There are a lot of posts to catch up on. I'm not sure what it is going to take to get me focused and wanting this more than the food.

I think I need to step back from the MF crunch bars. Those have been my supplement of choice and they are too tasty and too much like a candy bar. Maybe it will help me get myself straightened around if I go back to the regular supplements/shakes as I did when I first began the program.

I refuse to give up!

Yeah, don't give up, Tawanda ! :) No reason to, really.

I definitely enjoy the crunch bars, but I am awaiting my next order of them for a few days now, and I have been relying on the good ole stuff like yesteryear. I have to admit, it somehow feels like the 'real thing' ... not that the bars aren't ! It's just reminiscent of my first time around, and it's a nice variety from only having crunch bars, too (which I will do when I can, even if I try to convince myself not to ! They are good and SO convenient !).

Anyway, you can do it :).

Hey, T. Just wondering how you're doing. I thought of you today, because I'm editing a press release and the doctor's name is Tawanda Gumbo. I'm told he's a man, but I keep picturing you.

Hello!

I've been struggling and gaining (highest has been 182#). Not happy nor proud about that, but the truth is the truth.

Today I'm working on kicking the sugar and white flour habit. I already have a headache, guess I may as well get that out of the way too (headache, sugar and white flour....).

I've been doing a lot of babysitting and not totally happy with where my life is right now....but that is life and 'my' current reality. I need to get over it and begin accepting/embracing how things are instead of trying to eat myself through my days.

So, that is it..

Happy 4th!
