Lauren, you've pegged it. I have a hard time realizing the body in the photos and in the mirror is mine. It is a different shape than I've ever had before. When I weighed 124# for years (after having my children), I wore a size 9/10 . I even saved a pair of the jeans from those days (pre-stretch denim). The pants are too big for this 150# body. The waist is snugger than it was at 124# (uncomfortably snug) but the butt & thigh area is too baggy. I don't get it, 26# heavier but yet smaller. Part of me is concerned that I've lost so much muscle from years of inactivity and age, that it is the reason for the difference in body build. I guess I look at the photos and in the mirror so much just so that I can imprint my size in my brain. It doesn't seem right.
I grab a tiny size Medium shirt off the rack and think "There is no way in the world that this will fit me, why even try to put it on". I put it on, it fits perfect. I cannot believe it (puzzlement more so than amazement). I'm having a very difficult time with the whole thing.
If I sound confused.....I am. LOL
Mickey, I use to have to take in the waist of all my pants starting about mid hip. Not no more.....
. Congratulations to you on having a little waist.
Oh, another spot where I'm 'thicker'.....I use to wear a 32DD BBF (before becoming fat), now I'm in a 36C....don't get the smaller jeans & top but still have a much larger ribcage......
All so confusing (but wearing the 6s is very nice confusion
LOL).
