That's too bad about the bras (I can identify, after my running-shoe incident yesterday, although at least I was fully clothed the whole time), but yay on the pants!

I hope you feel better soon. With DH sick a few days ago, it was probably inevitable. Get some rest!

I didn't mean to sound so disparaging about the sales clerk's abilities to size/fit me. She just had an attitude of 'why are you bothering me?' which embarrassed me along with making me upset over 'bothering her'. I knew I wasn't an A or B cup....so I was frustrated with the situation almost immediately. I didn't want to correct her because she was training someone else and because I was intimidated by her 'you are bothering me' facial expressions & body language. :? It was an uncomfortable time.

My cholesterol results came back and were disappointing. Some higher numbers than the last time--which was about 3 weeks after beginning MF. I did not tell the doctor that I was on Medifast in March nor this visit last week......so kind of late to be telling him now. :? I was sent to a specialist because my numbers are so wonky and my GP didn't know how to treat me. This specialist is for Lipids and has told me that even if I had all the extra weight off I'd always be dealing with high cholesterol. I take 3 meds for it and the numbers have improved.....but this time they were worse/higher. :? :x The next time I see him is in 6 months so I'll have been in maintenance for a few months----I hope the numbers improve then. I wonder if the soy has anything to do with cholesterol elevating? Doesn't seem right........less calories, less red meat, no cheese (use to eat lots of cheese), no ice cream...........no, no, no to so many fatty foods and all the raw veggies that I now eat along with the chicken & occasional fish.........just isn't 'right' in my mind.

That is odd. I have a genetic predisposition for high cholesterol that I helped out with pizza and chili cheese fries. After less than 2 months on Medifast I was taken off Lipitor. However, I have heard of people with high cholesterol that can't be controlled much by diet. Maybe you are just one of those people. Sorry things didin't work out better.

Love the new pics T and they make your butt look tiny! I fully sympathize about the bra shopping. There was a show on Oprah a year or two ago and they talked about how most women wear the wrong size. There used to be instructions on Oprah's web site about how to measure and figure out your size. At that time I was wearing 38D and following their instructions I needed 36DD. I thought that was crazy but tried it and they were right! So search around Oprah's site. I do remember clothing size entered into their calculations as well as measurements I think.

I had noticed how skinny your legs looked but had to go back and check out your hiney. It does look small!

:roflmao: when I read Linda's & Biki's posts this morning. Thank you ladies (I think a small looking hiney is a compliment ;) ). I was thinking this morning that my body is such a different shape now than it ever has been before in my life. I was always thin but carried any extra weight in my upper hips & thighs. Not a big pear butt, but definitely where I carried any excess weight. Tiny ribs (32 DD bra), tiny waist (24"--it will never be a number I see there again :?) and the hips/thighs would be 36" and the thighs -- always wishing they were a bit smaller. Jeans were 'relaxed' and tough to find some that fit snug enough around the waist and still worked around the hips. (The jeans I'm wearing in the pic are the 8's! :D I keep wondering if I dare order a pair or two of the 6's?)

Then I gained the weight.....became an apple shape (or would it be barrel shaped?) My waist is still big in relation to the rest of me....there is lots of 'emptying' skin that I hope will tighten over time with toning and cardio exercises (that I need to begin soon).......but my bum is pretty little right now (amazes me). Odd where we lose the weight as we age.

Weight this morning was 150.5 again. :D I did not wake during the night needing to visit Ralph so I think the 'bug' is gone (hopefully). The twins' mom called me yesterday saying she was feeling puny, sweaty and like she was going to be sick. Poor girl. She's wondering now if the babies had this last week when they were so clingy, whiney and fussing. The little ones will be here today if their mom feels well enough to go to work.

Lots of posts to read.......better get to it.

Thanks Mickey & Robin for your posts yesterday, too. I'm not good about saying thank-you directly to people and I hope no feelings are ever hurt by my blanket 'thanks'.

C'ya later.....

FYI ... We're all different in where we lose weight but I wouldn't be surprised if you were in a size 4 at goal! It was only 4.5# that moved me from a size 8 to a size 6! Look at you!!! :woohoo: ... don't you feel wonderful? :D

T - I used to be kind of a pear shape, similar to what you described, not huge butt pear, but pear. THen menopause stole my waist and my shape started looking like a barrel too. I am so thrilled to be getting my waistline back. It's been years since I had one!

I don't expect I will ever have exactly the figure I once did because "the girls" were much smaller then, but if I can come close I will be thrilled!

And yes, your tiny hiney is a compliment! :D

Don't worry about thanks; I'm not always great about responding to each and every post, either.

As for cholesterol, we have problems in my family, too. My numbers didn't improve till I was DONE with Medifast, oddly enough (although that reminds me that I need to go get checked again now that I've been off the meds for a while).

I have the weirdest thing happening to my belly. It is becoming deflated or "emptying" but the skin isn't sagging. It is just prunelike, suspended in mid-air. Very odd...

hi Tawanda,

I want to thank you again for your e-mail. It made me feel good. I didn't realize anyone was watching.

As for body shape, I was always what you would consider a pear but after menopause 3 years ago I became an apple, very unhappy with that shape. MF has helped overall but my middle is not as small as it could be but going from a tight 16 to a comfy 10 makes me feel good.

Again thanks for your e-mail, I think it will help motivate me to continue going and stop being so sloppy.

Glad you hear you are feeling better.

:?

;)

Hi Donna.......sorry I missed telling you thanks yesterday. I'm done with trying to emulate others who do such a good job of saying thank you to each and every person....I screw it up and miss someone, which I hate doing, so I'm done with it. Going to be easy on myself and just say "hi" & "bye".......

Weight this morning was up .5 (151) I thought for sure I'd be below 150 this morning as I had a difficult start to the day yesterday morning which made me watchful of everything I consumed during the rest of the day. 'nuf said about that.

The past 5 days have been horrible in regards to H20 consumption, too. (yeah, worse than my normal horrible water intake).

One of the twins was really fussy/whiny yesterday. No break, care or concern for how it was making me feel having to deal with the attitude. ;) I don't have them again until Friday, but today is necessary errand running day (i.e. I'm out of veggies).

That is the morning update from here.......

Bye :D
