Hi Tawanda! Just reading about the twins walking. How precious that they both took their 1st steps on the same day!

I hope you made it OK today if you had to miss your coffee! <img src="http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_11_11.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0"><img border="0" src="http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_11_11/image.gif">

What a busy week this has been!

Doctor's appointment out of town yesterday....appt suppose to be at 10:20, didn't get into the room until 11:15 and finished with seeing Dr. & having blood draw at 12:15. Hadn't eaten since 7:30 the night before and I had a horrible headache from the no food-no caffeine. I felt miserable (yep, I'm whining ).

Today was another doctor's appointment and then watching the twins for a couple hours while their mother had a doctor's appointment. Drove home, picked up one of my dogs and drove back into town to take him to the vet. Back home again......and staying here !!! (hopefully). DH worked until almost midnight last night......he's got a head cold so he was stuffed up and snoring so I ended up sleeping on the couch. UGH! (yep, more whining ).

Dogs (yep, plural) need their teeth cleaned, so set that up for next week along with pre-anesthesia blood work for both of them and one needs to have a plugged gland on his eyelid removed. Do you hear the cash register dinging? I do and thank heavens the vet's office takes credit cards......this has been a brutal month for extra expenses/bills.

Weight this a.m. was ticker weight (151.5#) Both doctors gave me lots of compliments and kudos for losing so much and for being in better shape. One of the appointments was for my high cholesterol (genetic) so the doctor is as eager to see my newest blood results as I am. It is expected that I will always need cholesterol meds because it is a genetic problem, but I do have the ability to lower my risk factors if I improved on my diet & lowered my weight. I'm looking forward to seeing the new numbers and should get the report back early next week.

I went to Costco after my appointment yesterday. They had a great price on microfiber robes so I was looking at them with some other women. We talked about how soft and plush the robes felt and then talked about sizing. One woman said to me "well, you are a size small or medium---there is no way you are bigger than a medium". Oh heavens!! ME? I wanted to give her a huge hug (I bought a medium and it fits). I still haven't wrapped my mind around my new body size. I look for mirrors or reflective windows when I'm out shopping---just so I can see if I am still 'smaller' and what 'size' I am. :o I saw a girlfriend a couple days ago at the store and she said "you are so little" and my reply was that I've not shopped much or tried on clothes other than what I have had here so I have no idea as to what size I am now. She said "take my word for it, you are skinny". Me, skinny?! I know I'm not (hey I see the pudge and also the muffin top that happens with some jeans I wear) but it sure feels wonderful to hear that I do look skinny in some of my clothes.

I felt too puny yesterday to go clothing shopping. I did try on a coat at Costco......zipped it up but didn't like the sleeve length----size Medium!! :o  :D I smile every time I think about it.

So.........Medifast works. I'm so thankful that I have had the opportunity to do the Medifast program and that I've been as successful as I have been. Now my job is to begin doing cardio and strength exercises to firm myself up and get those last 11.5# off.

Hope everyone is doing well.......there are many posts to read/go through so I'd better get to it before I need to begin DH's dinner....

Oops! Forgot to say 'thanks' on the remarks about the twins walking. It is fun to watch their delight in taking those few steps before they teeter and fall. In some ways I do think it will make life (watching them) easier as they can walk with me instead of me trying to either carry both (22# each) or me get one to the kitchen & in the highchair before running back to pick up the other one. I do have baby gates up in many doorways so they are 'stuck' in a room with me, no sneaking out of the room and into mischief when I'm busy changing a diaper or making them a snack. Hopefully I'm right and life will not become more challenging. LOL Hey, I needed more exercise and cardio......maybe them walking will give me that............. LOL

T, I'm exhausted just reading about your week!!! But I sure know those vet bills well. I think I've sent a couple of veterinarians' kids to college by now. Either that, or paid for their vacation homes in Bermuda.

I've been eyeing those robes at Costco, too, but I just bought a new microfiber robe LAST year, so I can't really justify it. Sigh. They're so plush, though.

Hola, Mizz T!
Now imagine carrying a 3rd child of the same size ~
that's just about how much weight you've lost. Amazing, isn't it??

Speaking of which --- YOU are amazing!
Little, but amazing!

T,

All those people are right - you are skinny! That must be so exciting :) I'm glad people are recognizing and giving you the compliments you deserve. Hopefully October will be an easier month without the unplanned expenses. And I'm sure that in a month from now you'll revisit that statement about those sweet babies walking making life easier ;)

Less than 12 pounds to goal - how great is that?!

152 (back up .5).

DH coughed a lot last night. :? He is still in bed.......what the heck am I doing up? He started coughing again a bit before 5 a.m., I thought we were both giving up and getting up.......but turned out it was only me that got up and began the day. Foolish woman!

Another thing I forgot to mention about the doctor's visits.....my BP was always in the range of 140/90. No one ever said 'high blood pressure' but I thought it each time I'd hear the numbers that were taken. This time 110/72 and 112/68 . The first appt. I just figured the person taking it had made up the number (LOL) so I was eager to hear what the person said the next day at that appointment. When I heard the same great low numbers I was thrilled. Another positive change in my health, from losing the extra weight!

I read all the posts that have been made since I last checked in (throughout the boards) but didn't make comments anywhere....just don't have the energy, ambition nor desire to do it this morning.

Hope everyone has a good day!

Good Morning Skinny!

So now believe it, you are slim and look good :D

you know, I might have to make a Costco trip to get a robe. I need to do some intense lounging this weekend, and the robe sounds like a perfect match for it.

see you :byebye:

Hi T,

I hope your DH will be feeling better very soon. I will surely pop over next week to see what the results of your blood tests and I hope that you can go on a lesser dose for your (geneticly) high cholesterol.

I am happy for you that you can get out shopping and make purchases in Medium? That is wonderful.

Have a great week end,

Hi HB, not so sure about inspiring to see photos of me ;) but happy to oblige to show that I'm still here, still doing the program and still losing. I think they are fugly photos of me---but I asked DH to take a couple pics, thinking that he'd get some candid shots--but they aren't candid and they aren't 'cute'. LOL Just moi....... I was 154.5 on the morning that these were taken (Sept. 10th)--we had gone to an auction for large equipment and were just looking around at all that was going to be sold (thankfully he wasn't interested in bidding on anything).
