Hi Tee,
Hope you are having a good day.
It sounds like you are really gaining some great insights about yourself and your triggers. That is so important since this journey is about far more than just our extra weight. This is all such a learning experience and we need the lessons in order to change for life.
You are so lucky to have such a close and loving family and they are blessed to have you. Sometimes we all get so caught up in our own daily struggles that we don't see the struggle of those closest to us. Your family wants what is best for you and they probably just don't see how you feel, and my bet is that you are good at masking it while you care for them.
My friend is from a large family and helps everyone. Her solution was to ask everyone to submit their requests of her time at the beginning of the week, and then she blocks out her own time first and does what she can for everyone else. Sort of the "pay yourself first" theory. An interesting idea. The result for her was that her family started seeing things differently and realized they may have been asking too much in the past and didn't realize the cumulative effect.
Hope I'm not overstepping, but I thought of her solution when I started catching up on your journal.
Have a good weekend!

That's a neat scheduling idea, Mickey. It if were me, I'd probably put in everybody's requests FIRST, and then if there were time left for me, it would be a nice bonus. I wouldn't be surprised if that was Tawanda's first thought when she read it, too - which means we all need to learn how to put ourselves first from time to time! Excellent advice but hard for a woman do to without feeling selfish - I feel your pain, T! I know that it's easy for us all to tell you to say 'no' more often - but to actually do it is tough - at first. It does get easier, and it's very good for your self-esteem and your state of mind to allow yourself to be important, to take care of you.

Well, enough on this issue, you're probably sick of it by now!

8 glasses of water yesterday!!!! :D

I know......99.9% of you guys do that every day and then more.......but it is a big deal to me.

156.5 again this morning.

I am still reading the book Robin told us about (Thin Club) and like what I'm reading enough that I'm glad I bought it (under $12 through Amazon). I'm reading it very slowly which usually drives me nuts to do......but time is tight and if I'm going to read what you guys are up to along with taking care of g'babies.......well, slow reading is better than no reading. ;)

Don't know what today holds---had thought about trying to go watch llamas and possibly meet HB, but haven't made plans and I should be getting dressed if that is what I really want to do......... Decisions, decisions.........

Morning,
good work on all your gulping :water: wonder what our weigh ins will be tomorrow?

Im still puttering and will probably go up to the fair around 10:00. I'll be where they are showing the llamas, of course. I will have on my 501 levis and a smallish white t-shirt. :D
I have to clean out the back of a station wagon before I go as the hubster is, shall I say, complaining about the hay I left in it. He says it smells and is messy! Picky ,picky.
Ok going to get busy.

We stayed home and worked outside yesterday. We accomplished a lot and were dusty, hot and tired by the end of the day. I was disappointed to see the scale go back up .5 instead of seeing a loss. :x Only a lousy pound loss to claim for this week's roll call.

Oh well.....maybe next week will be better.

Glad to see you post a loss, even if it was only a pound ;)

You're doing great, especially with increasing your water. Hope you're having a great day!

One of the babies is sick--fever and chicken pox rash from the chicken pox vaccination received last week. I'm heading there to help for a couple hours.

I'm here, just struggling within myself.

I have the babies here, they are so fussy, cranky and sad. Ear infection & fever for one (last night, at the doctor's office, the temp was 103.6) and the other one has some virus that is causing fever & rash (doctor didn't think it was tied to the chicken pox vaccination).

Babies are asleep right now so I thought I'd take a few minutes to check in.

Oh.......weight this morning -- up another .5 (157.5). I had a stomach cramps yesterday afternoon so had 2 diet 7 ups......don't know if that is the cause of the gain or not. Today I don't care. Tomorrow will be better.

Sorry about the babies, T. And the stomach cramps. But if you're stressed and having tummy issues AND a few times you've mentioned working outside and being hot ... all of that can easily add up to a little fluctuation upward. Which means at some point you'll fluctuate your way right back down again.

Glad you're enjoying the book! I'm the tank-top QUEEN these days, thanks to that thing.
