Weight this morning is 158.5 which is -2# for the week.
Five things you didn't know about drinking enough water:
Eight is more than enough: Drinking eight glasses of water is a myth. A kidney specialist 2002 report in the American Journal of Physiology found the rule was bunk and, like many urban legends, stemmed from a grain of truth. The dietary guidelines provided by the Food and Nutrition Board of the National Research Council do say that humans need one milliliter of water for each calorie of food (about 10 cups a day). But the same guidelines say that we get much of this liquid from the water in solid food.
So, how much? If you drink enough fluid so that you rarely feel thirsty and produce one to two liters of colorless or slightly yellow urine a day, your fluid intake is probably OK.
Bottled or tap? Tap water is usually just as safe as bottled water and often has fluoride. So quench your thirst at the faucet -- unless you have immune system problems, high blood pressure or get kidney stones.
Don't get dehydrated: Even mild dehydration -- as little as a 1- to 2- percent loss of your body weight -- can sap energy. Strenuous activity, excessive sweating, vomiting and diarrhea can cause it. Symptoms include thirst, fatigue, headache, dry mouth, little or no urination, dizziness.
Too much of a good thing: You can drink too much water. Called hyponatremia, it happens when your kidneys can't excrete excess water. Marathon runners and other endurance athletes who drink a lot of water are at high risk for this, but it's rare in most of us.

Anyway, cheers to you and all the best !
