Tanning

Postby blondeangel7782 » March 12th, 2007, 9:46 am

Hey Ladies & Gents~

I thought I would come here to ask what ya'll do for tanning (for those of you that do) Whether it be Mystic Tanning (spary booth) or the actual bed? I have a bit of a fair skin tone and thought about the mystic tanning but just wanted everyone's input.... So suggestions, reccomendations or pro's & con's please.... I have also included a poll but please any input is welcomed

Allie, please excuse my ignorance...mystic tan? What is this? I'm not much into tanning ~ I'm Mexican, Italian, and Navajo Indian, so I can pretty much get a tan on a walk around the block! Oh, duh, I just re-read your post and saw that it is a spray process. That reminds me of the Friends episode when Ross got sprayed like four times on one side, lol...do you remember that? Too funny.

Well, good luck with whatever you decide...just be safe!

tanning beds aren't any better for you than the sun.
try the spray tan. i don't think they last longer than 2 weeks, so you really have little to lose.

Please no tanning bed for fair skin! It's bad for ya. Go for the spray if you want, though.

I love HEMP body lotion..........no..........I don't smoke it!!! I get it at WalMart. They have a new lotion that "tints" your skin. It's called "Golden Glow" and it is a skin firming BRONZING moisturizer. Being very fair skinned myself, I think that this is a great way. It's supposed to work in 7 days........I've only used it once. You might give it a try........if it works, it's cheaper than beds and sprays, AND it's a skin firming cream, also!
Good Luck! :goodluck:

Okay, for what it is worth, I have tried Mystic Tan and I HATED it. But, I know people who like it a lot!! It was too orange looking for me, plus I streaked. And, the stuff I had to put on my knees, ankles, palms of my hands, etc to keep it from being "blotchy" didn't work too well.

We have several places here that do air brush tanning. A person actually sprays the stuff on you. Here, you can go in a day or two before your actualy appointment and they will spot check the diferent shades on your tummy to see what color looks best. Then, you go in and they spray you and blot you off if you have any runs. I REALLY like it!! It costs $20 here and lasts about 10 days. But, they sell packages and if you go in about every 7 days you get a deeper "tan" or stain, as my husband calls it, that lasts longer. The secret to making these tans last is to keep your skin super moisturized!!! Oh--and exfoliate REALLY good before you go.

Makes me wonder, does this ease pain? I know that if you soak leaves in water and then soak hands in the water it eases the pain associated with arthritis.
Things that make you go....hmmmm....
