Hi Debra~ I'm sorry to hear you had a non-compliant day yesterday. We all go through that. When I gave up on MF 2 years ago it wasn't because of the program. It just seemed like I could not be compliant for more than 2 days at a time. I started not coming to the forum, which led to more non-compliancy for me. I just couldn't understand why I couldn't stay compliant the way I was when I first started MF. Since I couldn't figure it out, I just gave up.
I have been reading a book called "Life is Hard, Food is Easy". One of the things I have been reading about is motivation. It says, "What can you do when you lose your motivation and don't know how to get it back? Motivation doesn't drop out of the sky or suddenly reappear after an absence. You can't open your junk drawer and exclaim, 'Look, I just found my motivation!' Instead, the drive and energy that keeps you on track originates inside of you.
Motivation is a choice. You create it yourself--through your thoughts, your self-talk, and your attitudes. Even when you don't have a shred of energy, you can still access your motivation if you want to. You just have to get up out of your chair and make it happen."
Some of the things they suggest in helping keep your motivation is to 1. Set your intentions......2. Take Small Steps.......3. Be patient with results
I don't know if that helps at all, Debra. I do know, that you have it within you to pull yourself up and make that choice to be motivated.
I'm here if you need to talk.
