Yeah I always nix the bread or the croutons on a salad now...no more mashed garlic taters either.I feel like I cant see anything but my goal, like a straight endless highway with nothing in my way...finally I am not getting in my own way.I refuse to play that game again, I have done it way too many times. And now my pants are feeling loser. Definitly gives me a boost!

I think I want to be buried in a vat of garlic mash, they can just ladle on the gravy before they close the coffin...

Biki- Your a riot!!! :roflmao: Ever thought of doing standup??? Glad to see your passion is the same as mine, on the garlic mashed taters. The last time I went to a steak joint I passed on them...

Well just got back from my fancy lunch. Its a rather expensive cafe but it was on the company. So I wound up scouring the menu, which had alot of stuff on it that i knew nothing about, and finally decided on a chicken cesar salad...it was delissssh!!! I had two glasses of water as well.No bread or anything was given to us, I think that would have been extra. They charge for everything there...my boss asked if I wanted an espresso or dessert.I said no. And that place makes the BEST creme brulee'. She doesnt know I am on MF.She is a thin lady, who has stuck with Weight Watchers.Lost quite a bit of weight and now maintains. She is in the Lifetime club there.I dicussed MF with her while at her house one night and she said her nephew went on it and lost alot of weight and wound up gaining it all back. But that happens with every and any plan you choose to follow. So I figure once I start to look thinner to where she'll notice. Then I will tell her. She wouldnt be negative but just not ready to say anythign yet, ya know?

I cant wait to start losing the weight enough to where i have to buy new clothes and people start to notice...oh that will definitly boost my ego.And hey that couldnt hurt. Oh where I will be in 1 month??? I wonder. :)

Perhaps, once I lose the weight to avoid comparisons to Roseanne. When I'm thin even if they don't like jokes the men can focus on my boobs.

well in this salad there was barely any dressing which was good. But yeah there was a sprinkle of parm cheese but not much. I dont think its something that will derail my results by any, or at least I hope not.But there wasnt anything else on the menu I could really understand as far as what it was cooked in...they use alot of cuisines from other countries, I have never heard of.So I played it as safe as possible with a salad. I am not worried too much...but next time I will ask for no cheese!!! :)

Debra,

Definitely sounds like you made the best choice on the menu! Good for you! I do chicken caesar a lot in the restaurants...I get dressing on the side, but I don't throw off the parm.

The thing I learn most about myself eating out is that I can scour the menu and make the best choice, I can ignore the bread (i used to throw if off the table), I can get something GREAT! I CAN tell the waitstaff exactly how I'd like something prepared and realized they're happy to do it the way I want to make me happy! I think restaurants are a great learning experience and you did GREAT!

Do you ever watch the original BBC version of What Not to Wear? (on BBCAmerica) I like it better. They even had a version in South Africa. It's a worldwide phenomenom!

What is so weird about the British and South African versions (I was there a month so watched a lot of TV) is that they are really touchy-feely. They are big on getting women the right bra ( a good idea) and actually reach out and grab the busoms of these women-one time they actually honked this woman's boob. So weird...

Hi Debra :). You are doing fantastically !! I hear ya' on the projects thing... my office is currently staring at me and I know that's a voice I can get pretty good at ignoring "clean me, organize me, love me" hee hee. But, I have been chipping away at it all week. Today is the day, though, for me to kick it's butt .

Cheers to you !

Hey Debra~ I've been reading through your journal the past few days. You're a breath of fresh air. I love your spunk. :dancinguy:

I hope to be an encourager to you through your journey. We all need people here with us to help nudge us along. Some days (like yesterday), it seems so hard to just keep your head up and move forward. But, with the help of the people here, it just seems a little easier to say, "I CAN DO IT!"

You're doing great!!!!!
