Swollen Ankles

Postby xwoman » June 12th, 2006, 10:50 am

Okay...now as I wish I could attribute all my rolls to swelling and not good ol fashioned fat  I can attribute swelling to my ankles.

Have any of you had trouble with swollen feet and ankles that cleared up as the weight came off? As always thanks...btw did return the icky chocolate and the replacement taste normal yahoooooo.

The ankles..I know alll about. I used to have terrible swelling, looked like I was wearing "gel filled stockings" lol

Since starting mf I have had a few small episodes of ankle swelling but it was times when I was on my feet a LOT, snacking on my pickles(which I hardly ever do anymore) and not drinking much water.

Now I just marvel over how slim my ankles look and how after all the "puff" I have had there in the past..How they can even have "dips" in them. I spend a lot of time looking at myself in the mirror, feeling my body and making hubby look..lol  It's like travelling a "new land" and I am enjoying the journey. hehe. You will too!!

keep Shaking!!
Hugs,
Gina

I had swollen feet and ankles from all the salty garbage I ate :(. I love pickles too, but I have cut them off for a while...until I can trust myself. My feet look a lot better now, and I can slip into my shoes like Cinderella. :)

I had horrible swelling before Medifast. So bad that my kids used to amuse themselves by pushing on the skin and making smiley faces.

Since starting MF the swelling has gone down ALOT! I am hoping it contines to go down as I lose more.

Me, too, I had some ankle and leg edema, usually at the end of the day, which I attributed to my weight, the many diet sodas, and of course, fast food trips. :( I wasn't one to add salt directly on food, either. Since Medifast, the problem has disappeared and my ankles are one of the rare places on this body that is skinny!!! Joan

Oh yeah.....had the elephant ankles. I usually had to elevate my legs after work, just to get the swelling down a bit. I stopped wearing dresses and skirts because they looked so horrible.

They started improving almost immediately after I started MF, and now the only time I notice a little bit is when Aunt Flo is here.

Not that it had to do with ankles, but after I lost my first 150 lbs I lost a shoe size along with the other sizes. :D My feet actually shrunk lengthwise and width... not all of that weight pushing down on the feet anymore.

Hey Gina ~ I know what you mean about the "new land" comment. The other day I was shaving my legs and just suddenly noticed how everything looked and felt different. It's beginning to become quite the metamorphosis and I love it!!!

I too have been the victim of swelling ankles. Although, if I don't drink enough water, my rings are tight and my watch is tight.

When I am correctly hydrated, my rings keep falling off and my watch spins, round and round my wrist.

Drink more water, it REALLY Helps!!
