sweet taste?

Postby LAwoman » March 9th, 2005, 8:15 am

Good morning,

About two days ago I started noticing a sort of sweet taste that lingers in the back/sides of my mouth. (I just started my second week on the program.)

I was just wondering if anyone else has had this same experience.

Who knew MF could be so SWEET?!? :D

Here's to another great day of shaking to us all :buddies:

LAWoman - yep, I have it all the time. Thought it was just me; but there you have it. It's the medifast sweet success! HA! Pretty funny Unca!

But seriously, I had never read about it in any thread; so I just assumed it was my body's way of reacting to the MF product. Now that you mention the same thing - it may a common occurrence. Maybe Nancy has heard of this?

I think it's a by-product of ketosis. I'm hazy on the details, though.

24K, speaking of sweet successes, did everything go okay on Friday? I assume you told your current boss that you'd made up your mind to take the new job? Don't mean to pry-- just hope everything went well!

Hi all you shakers~~
Not to burst anyones bubble.. but.... Just do a check of your blood sugar and simple pricky of the finger will be a way of knowing if your blood sugar is high. A sweet or fruity taste in the mouth is a sign of diabetes.
The odds are that isn't the case, but be safe. ketosis does some pretty odd things to the body and deliciously makes us all slim!!! A fruity taste could be on the signs.. but i'd rule out high blood sugar just to be safe..
keep shakin~
