Hello All. Week 4 didn't turn out to be a very good for me. I only lost 1 pound. I was compliant all week but I guess it just wasn't my week. However, a loss is a loss and I will take it.

I went for a walk last night and when I came back my throat was a little irritated. Within an hour or so, it hurt so bad. I had problems last night sleeping.

Well today I am exhausted, can feel a headache coming on, and I just feel blah. Yes, I still have the sore throat. I am taking Tylenol Sore Throat and Zicam. I sure hope this doesn't last long.

Well here is to a betteri week. Hopefully I will lose more than 1 pound.

I have not been feeling good all week. I am still following the plan...will not allow a cold to derail me. My shoulder started hurting last night too and now my upper back is killing me. I can't wait to get home from work and ask my hubby for a massage.

I am still taking the Zicam. I don't think this stuff works though. I noticed that the symptoms just came on stronger. I will still use it and see if I get over this sooner though.

I am down one pound this week. I am amazed since I have not exercised and have been sucking on some Halls Defense...those have a minute amount of carbs...but are sugar free and helping my throat. I have been chewing a lot of gum because it helps to keep me from feel dehydrated.

Well hopefully this won't last long.

Glad you're still losing - sorry about the illness. It seems to be hitting all over! I think you should all do what I do - hole up at home and avoid all contact with the outside world.

Sorry you're not well. My thing started with a sore throat, too. Now I'm coughing so much that I'm scaring my co-workers.

Feel better!!

Hi Guys!! Thanks for your well wishes. I am feeling a little better today. Hoping the Zicam is working. Today has been one of the better days this week so hopefully I will get better from here on out.

Weight wise...not so good. I was up 1.5 pounds this morning. Oh well. I am sure that has more to do with the fact that I am sick than anything else. I have noticed though that this time around on MF...I have more days where my weight is up than down. Which is really strange. I didn't deal with this the first time around. But I will continue on. I am sometimes still in awe that I have been back on program for over 4 weeks...too cool.

It really is awesome that you have been on plan so long. Just keep the streak going! There may be more ups than downs with the weight, but over the long haul it's a downward trend and that is more important than the day-to-day weights. Don't let it bug you, if you can help it. :D

I hit the 20 pound loss mark this weekend...too cool. I am so happy to see that. In 5 weeks I have lost a total of 20 pounds!! Now please tell me what other diet...except anorexia...can cause that like of weight loss. MF is so great.

I haven't been able to get to the boards lately because I have been so busy. Hopefully in the next couple of days I can play catch up on everybody's journals.

Took my kids to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular on Saturday. It was really cute. I loved the live nativity scene at the end...that was beyond cool. The kid's really enjoyed it. The new bars really came in handy that day...I bought 3 along because I knew we would be gone for the majority of the day. I only ended up having 2 of them and one regular bar but felt that it all kept me on program. I will be leaving on Sunday for Philly and I am going to make sure I have the bars. They truly are convenient and you don't have to worry about having water or a microwave to heat things up.

Thanks T and Keri!! I really appreciate you stopping by.

I can't believe how fast time is going. I can't seem to keep up with my journal and everybody's elses...but I am going to try harder. I am usually cooking right now...I don't do the turkey...my mom does that...but I make homemade pierogi. Well since I am having trouble with my shoulder, my oldest daughter came over last night and helped me..so they are now in the oven heating up. There has been only one other Thanksgiving in 21 years that I have not been slaving over the stove. Totally enjoying it and taking the time to visit here to see how everybody is doing. One good thing about being busy....I have the energy to keep up with it...too cool.

I am down a total a 21 pounds this week...but I am up 1.5 pounds today. I am no longer concerned about those ups...I know a few days later..it goes down.

I came across the other day my calendar from '07....in it I tracked my weight loss almost everyday when I was on MF. I am succeeding this time around about the same way I did the first time around. I did hit the 20 pound mark a few days earlier this time....but it's just nice to know that it's similar to the first time.

I put on my size 12 jeans this morning. I am so amazed...they are stetch jeans...but all the same...they are not skin tight. I thought I would have a huge muffin top...nope...not really an issue. Too cool again!!

I hope everybody has a great Thanksgiving. I will be leaving for my mom's in a little over an hour. I am bringing my own salad (G) with my dressing already on it...and called my mom earlier in the week to see if she has a food scale....yes she does...so I will enjoy turkey breast and my salad....that will be my Thankgiving dinner.

:thanksgiving: :turkey:

Thanks Leigh and Katie. I highly doubt that I will ever walk down a run way...I would probably trip....LOL!! But thank you Katie!!

I don't know about the rest of you, but this has been a difficult weekend. I am pmsing...so that makes it doubly difficult. Being around all that food..ugh!! Thanksgiving wasn't hard at all...made it through that with flying colors...not even wanting what everybody else was eating.

Friday I went shopping with two of my sister-in-laws. We had a lot of fun...and no, we did not to the early shopping...we didn't start until close to 10am. Not doing any of those midnight madness or 4am madness sales. We did stop for lunch around 2pm...at one of my favorite places...Cousins Subs....but I just ordered a diet soda and drank a shake. That was hard...but very do-able. Was I exhausted by the end of that day. Got home at 5pm, ate my L&G, and had to run to the grocery store to get that done for the week.

Saturday, was my son's birthday party. We had 17 kids and 5 adults at the movie theater to see bolt. All the kids had the kiddie snack pack...soda, popcorn and piece of candy. I ordered sodas and popcorn for the adults...of course none for me, I brought a bar along. But boy I almost grabbed for some of that popcorn out of habit. I stopped myself...but that time it was hard. Afterwards we had hot dogs and then cake. Now I am not a big cake eater...I wanted a couple of times to lick my fingers when I was done serving it...but again..resisted...can you see how little by little I feel like I have been wearing myself down. After the party...which went very well...I came home, ate my L&G and went out for more shopping.

Today, is actually the day of my son's birthday...we go to my mom's every Sunday for lunch so we stopped and picked up a chocholate chip cookie cake for my son's birthday. Ugh!! That thing looked so good. There was also some chocolate frosting out of it that looked really nice...smooth and chocolatey...not like the stiff chocolate frosting. I was even asking my family if it was a smooth a good as it looked and of course they said yes. Well guess what is sitting on my counter right now...the left over cookie cake. I have picked up a piece just to smell it. I would love a piece....but losing weight is more important...but boy it looks good.

I was supposed to leave for Philadelphia tonight...have a conference tomorrow and Tuesday. My flight has been pushed to 11:15pm...not supposed to land until 2:30am and won't get to my hotel until 3:30am....conference starts at 8am. We are also under a winter storm warning that is supposed to start soon. The delays right now are because of delays in Philly...not hear...but by 11pm...the delays will be here too. Needless to say, I canceled my trip. Hope my boss isn't too disappointed but I was not going to spend the night at the airport. I spent about 2 hours on the phone this afternoon trying to change my flight...everything is sold out....so I guess that's stressed me out too...which only makes that cookie cake look better better. I will be okay though. I will continue to resist.

Well I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving and nice weekend!! Can you believe Christmas is right around the corner.

Thanks Leigh. Bolt was cute....from what I was able to see of it. I had take kids to the bathroom constantly...LOL!! I missed the part of how he got lost to begin with. After the movies I had to ask the kids to explain it to me...LOL!!

I know what you mean about the temptations...and I am an emotional eater. Sometimes it's just hard and you just need to work through it. This weekend has been one of those weekend and I think it's because TOM is due tomorrow or shortly thereafter. Hormones....and chocolate...oh my...LOL!!

Gosh I cannot believe how time flies. There just is not enough hours in the day to do everything I need to do.

It's been a rough week for me, but things seem to be turning around as of today. I can't believe how increased my cravings were this week due to TOM. I thought I read somewhere on these boards that while on MF symptoms associated with TOM increase. Well if that's the care, I experienced that this week. I had candy bars in my purse for my kids, since the weekend, and I kept forgetting to give them to me. They would be calling for me all day at work...but I kept telling them to shut up. I resisted. But then I would forget when I came home from work...to take them out. They are still in there..LOL!!

I did have an extra supplement a couple of times this week, but I figured that was better than going off program.....which I was not going to do. Like I said, those cravings were nuts.

I am only down a pound so far this week...well that was yesterday...today I am up .5. Seems to be my life story.
