One workout at a time, that is the way to go. When the weather is nice I would take advantage of the outdoor walking trail. I had a big problem with going to the gym because I was afraid people would see me. Also, I had to overcome the fact that where was I running was where the school football, soccer, and baseball teams (all of which contained many of my students) were able to watch my big ol' booty walk/trot. I started at 228, so that is a BIG booty. It was really hard, but then the kiddos (I am a teacher) would tell me they saw me exercising and thought it was great that I was working out I felt a little better. I stayed confined to the treadmill in my house for sometime. I remember watching Michael Jackson's funeral while trying to get in three miles. Now, they want me to come running with them for cross country practice (that isn't happening they do like 5 minute miles or something crazy like that). As far as running far distances, that really wasn't my initial goal, but the more I ran the more I wanted to run. I am really trying to get down to 125 and then I am going to start maintenance. I didn't lose much from the beginning of November to the end of December, but I didn't gain anything. I was jogging/walking 3-5 miles three times a week with the occasional spin class and cross training class thrown in. I was exercising 5 times a week and not really behaving myself with food, so just keep that in mind when you get closer to goal. If I would been in complete compliance for that time period-I would have hit 125 this month.
