I survived!

Postby Donna » May 13th, 2007, 7:00 pm

Today was day 2 for me. And, my family took me out to an all-u-can-eat buffet for Mother's Day. YIKES! There were all sorts of delicious-looking umentionables there.

But, I SURVIVED. I kept thinking, "well, gee - I only started yesterday so technically I'm not even in full ketosis & fat burning stage, yet...I could have some stuff and start again tomorrow."

But I DIDN'T!

I told myself there will always be temptations...and I'll always have excuses. If I'm going to be serious I have to stick to Day 2 and what I already started.

I also reminded myself that I wanted to be able to come here and report a GOOD day of compliance...and just knowing that you'd all be here, helped me stay on plan.

So, here I am. I had a GOOD day! I had chicken and a salad at the restaurant and I've been shakin the rest of the day.

I haven't had any hunger since beginning the plan. I did have a headache today. And, I am craving the things I saw at the restaurant that I wouldn't eat. But, I feel strong because I stayed true to my goals.

Thanks for being here so I could share!
Donna :)

Donna, you should be proud of yourself for making it through such a temptation to set aside being on the program. It is that type of attitude and forethought that will help you be a success with this program and getting to goal. Good for you on a great decision!

Great job staying compliant. I started MF the day before Thanksgiving so had similar food temptations.

Good for you. Isn't it great feeling like you are in control? It is that kind of attitude that will get you through rough spots and get you to goal.

I found that after a couple weeks my cravings were not nearly as strong. Now I can actually be around many of those temptations with a feeling that is somewhat like detatchment.

Keep on keepin on...you are doing great!

Way to go!
Remember a craving lasts anywhere from 8 - 14 minutes! You can do it!

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.
