Welcome to the program and to the forum!!! You'll love the program, it works if you work it!

Just remember that the first 3 days (perhaps a few longer) are the hardest as your body begins to adjust to your new lifestyle. You may be hungry, tired and/or cranky - - but IF you stay compliant you will be rewarded with feeling better, no hunger, more energy and a smaller body!

Some things you might find helpful:

Don't forget to get the minimum water requirement but more is good so drink up!

Have sugar free gum and/or bullion available for times of hunger - - or chug an 8 ouce glass of cold water as fast as you can :-) - it helps!

Stay compliant so you can get into ketosis and be rewarded with the lack of hunger and increased energy!

Post as often as you need to get support!

If your carb sensitive, watch your intake of carbs and keep them lower than 85 (I have to shoot for the 70's)

Remember you are worth it and YOU CAN DO IT!

Good luck!! Can't wait to see your progress!!!

Your plan is close - in it you are eating 7 times. You should have 6 meals (5 medimeals plus your lean and green). You'd only eat 7 meals if you split your L&G into two equal portions. Remember to eat within an hour of getting up and you can space your meals between 2 and 3 hours.

1 Tbsp of skim milk is allowed on the condiment list. You should have 3 or less condiments a day. Coffee is also allowed but you should limit caffeine to three times a day until you see how your body responds to it on plan (I can dring diet dr pepper all day and not get the jitters and still lose but others find they are more sensitive to it while on plan).

Sounds like you are getting off to a good start!! Read through your getting startd guide too (if you havent already) and there are tons of posts here that should help you too!!

Good luck!

The most important this to remember is that this program is made to be simple. Don't be scared. Go into this KNOWING that you CAN do this. Take everything one meal at a time.

I noticed that your spacing is a little close at times and you have that extra meal. While you CAN have an extra meal IF you NEED it, I wouldn't plan on it. You are allowed to eat every 2-3 hours, but if I can go 3 hours I do it. Don't forget you are allowed certain things as a snack if you need it too.

Bullion is a big help when you are in between meals and don't want to have another yet.

Again, don't be scared. Be confident! This will work. Go into this with a positive outlook and nothing can get in your way.

Alot of folks starting this program don't realize that the bar counts as one of the meals, not as a snack. I suggest spacing your meals out to at least every 2 1/2 hours and only having 5 medimeals (in your case - only 2 shakes).

As for the skimn milk, if you are having a couple of tbsp of skim its okay, but usually the recommendation is half and half. No latte's though.

Congrats and welcome.

Sounds like you are off to a good start, congrats.

What kind of shake did you have? I am in love with the dutch choc, the chocolate RTD and the banana. I can't stand the others :-) I mix the shake with cold water (cold as in from the fridge cold) and a handful of ice in my bullet. It's more like a milk shake to me. The RTD's I pour into a glass and its like a chocolate yoo hoo to me :).

Maybe you weren't thrilled because the shake didn't fill you up though? If so, try adding the ice to thicken it up - sometimes I even add up to 10 oz of water with a lot of ice.

Congrats on almost being finished with day 1.....I wasn't hungry on day 1 either - - in fact, my journal notes state that I was miserably full:)

Keep on shakin'!! Did you weigh and take measurements today??

Oh the strawberry made me gag :puke: . I took one sip, threw it out and made something else. However, you should know that your taste buds will start to change and what you love/hate now you might hate/love after being on program a bit. For me persoanlly, I have found that I can no longer tolerate some things I loved but I haven't loved anything I initially disliked -- others have though. I'm a pretty picky eater plus I'm just plain weird :)

The support in the forum is awesome, you'll love it here :)

If you like sherbert try adding a half of a "tube" of Crystal Light On The Go Lemon-Aid to the Strawberry and the Orange Shakes. I LOVE them that way. The tang from the lemon-aid makes them take JUST like sherbert to me. If you freeze them (slightly) you can even get the feeling you are eating ice cream.

Be proud of yourself. You have taken a very positive and healthy step towards a better life!

Also, if you find that the chicken noodle & chick wild rice soups are not getting done, try them on the stove top or soak them in hot water for about 10 minutes before you nuke em. I like to add some chick boullion to mine. It really adds some great flavor.

I found this funny Kym. Yeah, maybe the second sip would have tasted better... lol

Anyhow, the strawberry shake with berry or something fruity crystal lite isn't bad either. One thing that tends to help the shakes is sweetener (for me anyhow). I use SF caramel or English Toffee with the vanilla shakes. We put the choco, banana, or vanilla (and the cocoa) in coffee.

Hope this helps.

Funny - I found the strawberry too sweet, that is why I add the lemon-aid. :idontknow:
