Birkshiregrl
you will hit the 10 club for sure. What part of the birkshires are you from? My mom lives in Pittsfield I also have two cousins there who grew up in Lanesborough (maybe mispelled it.) I am originally from Springfield. That area was my territory in the 80's for my job.Very pretty in the fall Great places there like Tanglewood. Have you ever been to the horseshoe curve on the Mohawk trail?? If you havent its beautiful its a spot where the road curves back on itself on the mountain and you can see forever its beautiful in October. Good luck Ron

!st time for Roll Call!

Postby shortstuff » February 5th, 2006, 9:58 am

Well done everyone! This is my first roll call and I'm very happy to report that I lost 4 lbs. the first week, 1 lb. the second, and 2 so far this week. for a grand total of 7!!! I know that may not sound like a huge loss but it is a big deal for me!!!! :D :D :D

I'm the kid who went to weight watchers for a month and only lost one!
Since I'm only 4'11", my body needs less!

The best part is that the weight seems to be gone for good, the scale is steadily marching down. . .down. . . down!

A special note to Stelar and Heavnly Karamel- hang in there and congrats on your losses! There are a lot of us who lose slower and we have to remember that the losses will pile up for us too in the long run! Have a great week everyone!

good morning roll callers

Postby LAwoman » February 5th, 2006, 10:30 am

Good morning all,

Exciting losses for everyone this week. Great job!!! And those of you who made it into a new club  That always revs me up to get into the next club. So 20# loss, here I come

I'm down 2 more pounds this week. Started including long walks, yoga, and pilates into my schedule with the new month and it feels great. :treadjog:

This loss feels especially good since I've had two weeks of meetings staying away from the foodie tables with serious temptations and thoughts of eating other foods. And it motivates me for the third and last week of meetings and food tables. As I stick to MF I'll be down a few more pounds at roll call instead of a few up.

Have a great week everybody. Happy Shaking!!! :cheermed:

I'm down 3.6 lbs this week. That's 16.4 lbs lost with Medifast, and 32.4 lbs total since I started working on my weight with diet and exercise in August. 32 lbs makes a noticable difference in the coziness (or lack thereof) on the loveseat. When my hubby and I were watching a movie last night, we noticed how much more comfortable it was to sit side by side on the loveseat - there was actually room to move!

:goteam:
Despite challenges, and cravings, and struggles, here we all are, staying accountable. That counts as success. :D

An edit to point out that, as of today, just over half my weightloss is thanks to Medifast. Medifast did in just under 3 weeks what it took my efforts with "normal diet" and exercise over 4 months to accomplish. That's exciting to me.

Ron,

That's so cool that you come from close by here! Yes, it is gorgeous. I've been tempted to move to The Big City or the west coast, but this area feels like home to me.

I'm from Lee. My parents still live there, and I work there. Right now, I live in Pittsfield, in a big old house built in the 1920s, complete with patched up cracks, ancient windows, and tons of character. I love it. I also have very sweet neighbors who are soooo quiet. Dig that too!

So your mom and I are neighbors, heh!

The L-town (home of the mall) I've seen spelled Lanesboro and Lanesborough on official signs, so I say you got it right hehehe!

Yes, Tanglewood's music is beautiful... fireworks over the Stockbridge Bowl... Jacob's Pillow... Mt. Greylock... Shaker Village... Joe's Diner in Lee... the woods and the spring peepers and all the green... my favorite is autumn! I love the crimson and brilliant yellow trees, the crisp clean air, the pumpkins, the harvest festivals... just the New England Yankee aesthetic with the old barns, rolling hills, small town character... As you can see, I can go on and on about this place

Not to mention, I really enjoy all the lakes, streams, and being not too far from Maine, state of my birth and first 4 years, and also being near the ocean at the Cape! The smell of the beach pines and the sea... Mmmm....

I have been on that spot on the Mohawk Trail. It is indeed gorgeous!!

Were you a salesman in the 80s? What were you up to? :)

How does Texas compare for you? Oddly enough, I lived there in 1994-1996, in Killeen - prepping for grad school and waitressing - and College Station - going to Texas A&M for a couple semesters. I also partied in Austin, which is a really fun city ;)

Greetings Everyone,

CONGRATULATIONS on all the amazing losses this week. I only had a small loss (.8 pounds) this second week on MF, but a loss is a loss. I will not be discouraged. I know my body is adjusting to this wonderful food I am feeding it. I know I am losing inches because my clothes fit so much better and are even a little baggy in someplaces. I also can't believe the energy I have and how great I feel. Medifast ROCKS!! I'm on this for the long haul. Off with those pounds!!

Birkshiregrl,

You are a maineiac and an Aggie ohhh myyy!!!!

My Fathers side is from Maine Northern aroostook county (brrrrrr) Beautiful place. When I was a kid we used to camp at Moosehead lake midstate and we heard the cry of the loon. Its an eary sound this bird gives off.

I work for a major electronics company and was a field tech at the time I had the area from williamstown to Lakeville ct. Lee was a centerpoint since thats where I exited the turnpike. The people are different in the Berkshires than other parts of Mass. I found the people more friendly and layed back .

In Texas its friendly and people are respectful. There are jerks everywhere but as a whole very nice. We love the weather although summers are hot the winters are awsome. For example I may be taking my Harley :easyrider: out today for a ride since it is high seventies today. I do miss the colors of the change of seasons but not the cold. :x

We plan on coming up this May :redprowl: for my mother in law's Birthday ( South Hadley) and my wife and I's 20th anniversary and will probably go to Pittsfield to visit mom. Anyway small world. Keep shakin and good luck Ron

Roll call-week 3

Postby onehotmommy » February 5th, 2006, 3:47 pm

I am happy to see everyone is doing so well! Lots of BIG losers hanging around here!!!!!!! I have only a 1/2 lb loss to report, despite my sticking to the program like glue. I even survived my baby's 1st birthday party without eating a hot dog, chips, or cake...I had my chili ;) I even MADE the 2 cakes, decorated them, and still never tasted cake or frosting...YAY ME! I am a bit bummed by this plateau though, I've never really hit one before when I lost weight. I think I am going to start adding some walking, maybe some workout video stuff to my day to help boost my metabolism. DH was super supportive though when I said I had only lost 1/2 lb this week....he says, "well, that IS a LOSS". Gotta love him....he's a keeper.

Congratulations to all of us LOSERS!!!!

I'm a little slow on joining in on the roll call today, but I am pleased to announce a 2 pound loss this week for a total of 16.5 in three weeks. :D

This week was very rough for me with family matters getting complicated and having to travel home unexpectedly. Several days I know I didn't get all my water (can't very well be stopping every 15 minutes on the road to use the bathroom.) I also didn't get all my supplements in at least twice this week....things have just been crazy and hectic. Huge success though because through all of the stress, and the insane schedule, I did not cheat with even one bite of something that is not on plan. So to make it through everything and still be down 2 pounds, that is enough to keep me pumped and ready to make the 20# club next week.

Congratulations everyone on your losses this week!

Well, I am joining the sunday roll call. I changed my weigh in day from Monday to Sunday to join in.

So after 2 weeks I am down 12.5 pounds! :bounce: I lost the last 2.5 this week. I am done my prednisone for my knee injury so I am hoping that the weight will come off faster now.
