Thank you, sweet Nancy, for your enthusiasm for my success. I can't wait to meet you guys. I know someone else who plans to come, but since she hasn't chimed in, I won't tell you who it is
. Here's the thing... I'll look like a mountain if I pose for a picture between the two of you skinny little 130-140ish pounders, so I just might leave my camera home until the next time we meet, when I'm certain to be in your weight neighborhood thanks to Medifast!
I had an unexpected doctor appointment today for a five-day sore throat. The last time I was there was the beginning of March (100 pounds ago!). How much fun
, despite the strep & accompanying ear infection pain
. The nurse shared lab results I had done last week (for my heart appointment next week). Without meds, my HG AIC is 5.2 (very good & perfectly normal) compared to my previous reading of 14 (off the charts and very, very bad - for you non-diabetics). Pre-Medifast, I was on shots & oral drugs). My bad cholesterol number, which should be below 100, was 42. I am still taking Lipitor, but she said she is positive my cardiologist will either halve it or eliminate it altogether. Aw... I am dreaming of a drug-free life.
It was funny, the first thing she said to me was "have you had weight-loss surgery" - I said no. Then she asked me if I had been ill. Again, I said no. When I told her about my Medifasting, her plump little self got awful interested. Gave her my business card, and told her to feel free to call me if she wanted to chat further.
Finally, regarding that maternity jumper - it's a size 12 and I just can't pitch it out yet. Especially since, at the beginning of 2005, I was a size 26. Of course, I absolutely loved it when one of the first questions the nurse asked me was if I might be pregnant
. At 55, I consider this a high compliment
