I started last Monday, so my "weekly" weigh ins are officially on Monday mornings, so not sure if I should post on the Sunday weigh in.... but

After finishing my first week I lost 7#. Not sure if this is big or small compared with typical first week losses, but it sure feels nice!

Down 4lbs!

33lbs left of the 40lbs loss goal for New Years Eve. I think I'll beat my goal. And like Carrie...I might see 199lb for the first time in a few years BY NOV 1.

CANNOT WAIT!!!!!!!!!

You are THIS CLOSE Nelly! LOL

You'll be dancing in the new year! :yippee:

Well, unless you're like me--I'll just be a thinner person sitting at home on new year's Eve! LOL :pour:

That sounds a little pitiful when I type it out, but I'm just a homebody and like celebrating with family.

199....I'm trying to remember what that looks like...hmmm, you'll let me know when you get there, won'tcha?
:pet:

Hi All.............

Postby JeweloftheNile » October 4th, 2004, 2:47 pm

I was on vacation last week, and took a suitcase full of Medifast with me! LOL

Had a great time and ready to hit it hard again. I worked out almost daily while away and this is the first vacation I could still sit comfortably on the plane coming home, so I know I did something right!

My Official Weigh In is Tuesday so I will post then.

Happy happy, joy joy -- first week results: 9 lbs! Woo hoo!

I even managed to Medifast at an NFL football game yesterday (Chargers vs. Titans -- Chargers won!). It was haaaaard watching endless people go by with stadium food, but I packed my shaker jar and 2 packages of Dutch Chocolate 55, and bought cold bottled water at the concession stand to mix it up with at 1:00pm and 4:00pm. My sweet husband asked if I'd mind if he had a hot dog during the game (he's very sensitive to my situation), so I went out to the concourse and walked around for 10 min. while he indulged :D

Have a great week, everyone!

Oh, this turned out well after all, so yahoo!!!

Carrie, sorry I didn't answer you too well when you first asked, but at least you got enough info to make it. Didn't come back here sooner. I so enjoyed spending my $300, lol, to get something extra that I felt I wasn't having to pay for -- like the kid in the MF store, I guess. I can tell how excited you are and I'm so glad things are into that "breezy" stage for you now. Just enjoy it and hang on because it can last and last if you go with it. I think it's until we have the first snag or two of something bad, so stay clear.

Congrats to all others, too, so numerous to mention now that I'm so far down the pecking order. All the news was good.

By the way, I'm no stronger than anyone else. I'm just extremely lucky and I am riding the wave of determination. I want to get to the bottom of this for once and Medifast is making it possible, and you guys.

DC! Thanks for the encouragement, and look how close you are to goal girl! You rock!

I was pleased to get my order in - that's a chunk of savings, and came at a good 'budget' time for me. Now I need to find some room in my cupboard for my HUGE shipment, LOL

Wow, Amy, that's great! I don't know if I'd have a good enough attitude to sit there in the stadium slurping a shake! LOL
I'd probably sit there and justify a hot dog sans bun as a "lean enough" meal.
Terrible, I know...thus, I stay out of stadiums! LOL
The county fair was distracting enough. Good thing for me we went the same day as the livestock exhibitions, and there's something about a tour of the hog barn that makes a corndog less appealing. Go figure.

You did great!

I am thrilled!!!!!!!!!!

Postby JeweloftheNile » October 5th, 2004, 2:22 pm

This is the first time I have gone on vacation and not gained weight!!

I was not a strict Medifaster, but I worked out almost daily, chose salads, couple of treats and i did strict Medifast for 4 of the 9 days we were away.

I am holding steady at 217, but I lost 1 3/4 inches!! 1" off my Hips!

I learned alot on this vacation on what I would have to do if i want to indulge once i reach goal. I wasnt the only one out jogging at 8am. All the "skinny" moms were. Usually I gain 10 pounds the minute I get on the plane, so this was major for me.

Congrats to Everyone and lets hit it hard for New Years!

PS, Jack Lalanne is on ESPN CLassic daily, and although taped in the 60's his advice is solid and his workouts are great when travelling. No equipment needed and he works all body parts! I watched him a couple of times in the hotel room and loved it!
