Wow! There is so much good stuff on this thread -- it's such a great way to start a week. And I know I have some congrats to others to make, because I missed posting on a few goal club announcements (it's been a lousy week, so I haven't been here as much as usual, or felt like posting as much).
First, Sherri -- CONGRATULATIONS! 50 pounds, and halfway there -- you and I certainly are walking side by side on this journey.
Isn't this fun? And maybe a little scary?
Donna, you are going to have such a blast in Jamaica! We MUST have a picture of you in that tankini! Thirty pounds - wow. Congratulations!
Donica, welcome to the 20 pound club. Enjoy it while you can, because I'm sure you won't be there long!
coco -- you're back on, and that's what counts. 2.5 gone is nothing to sneeze at. Good for you for having the determination to get back on program and make this work for you.
Kassilou -- 50 pounds!!! Congratulations -- doesn't that feel just so good? You can and you are doing this, and it won't be long before Unca will be putting that 100 pound star under your name.
Christi, look at all those inches! No wait . . . you can't, they aren't there anymore.
Isn't that great? Are you starting to move old clothes out of your closet yet?
BK -- I saw on your ticker a day or too ago that you were below 180. (I see on the shopping thread that you've been at it again, too.
) And also now past the halfway point. I don't know about you, but being past the halfway point makes me really believe that I'll make it the rest of the way -- cause I've already lost more weight than I need to. Congrats -- you cream pie, you.
Mary, I've sure been watching your progress ever since I came to this board. You are such an inspiration for other people! In fact, I was looking at your halfway pictures again just last night. Can't wait to see them at goal, and I'm sure next weekend we will be having a huge 100 POUND party!
Vicki -- ONEderland is definitely in sight this month! Won't that be something? I think we need to have a Southern California party this summer, to celebrate. We can do a lean and green BBQ!
Lynne, Angelia, Joyce -- the scale went DOWN instead of up, even if not as DOWN as we'd like, I know. It's always my experience that the small loss weeks are followed by big loss weeks, so hang in there this week and I bet we'll see even less of you next Sunday.
As for me, I'm thrilled today. I'm down 4 pounds, to 212, which is the lowest I've weighed as an adult -- and the last time I was here was just before I got pregnant with the child who is now 16 and a half years old. That's still 15 more than I weighed when I graduated from high school, but THAT was 30 years ago. I am so pleased!
I had a difficult week. Did two "lean and green" meals on Tuesday, because it was my birthday and I was taken out to lunch by a friend of mine, and then had dinner with my family. And my 16 year old is acting, well, 16 years old, and has decided that I'm the evilest thing since Lex Luther. I worry about him....
Anyway, Happy Mother's Day to the moms, and good luck in this next week!
