Triskets - Yahoo on the 4.5 pounds gone!
Serenditpity - What an awesome average. Looks like a great week.
BerkshireGrl - Great start girl. Patience is our virture now. I keep telling myself in another 6 months I/we can be heavier, the weight we are at now, or leaner and meaner, 'cause 6 months is going to be here no matter what we do.
Well, now me. I've restarted AGAIN! I don't know why it's been so hard for me this time around.
I began again on Dec. 1 at a whopping 205 lbs. Today I'm already down to 197 lbs.
From March 1st through the first week of July I went from 230 lbs. to 168 lbs. I was close to goal but going traveling last summer and figured I'd get back on MF when I returned. I was able to maintain in the 170's through August. But then I went back to my old bad eating habits and the weight kept creeping up.
I kept having one false start after another with MF in Sept and Oct, doing the ol' "Well, I failed, so I'll just eat whatever I want for the remainder of the week and start on Sun or Mon again." At which time I'd be a couple of pounds heavier and more discouraged.
I was thinking, maybe I'll just wait until the new year, after all the holidays to start again. Then I realized I'll wind up being back to my original weight of 230 by then and REALLY discouraged at the start of a new year. Why not start now and be 10 or 20 pounds lighter at the new year to really keep me motivated. Perhaps I'll have a few bumps over the holidays, but I'm really determined to work MF like I did the first time around and actually reach and maintain goal.
I love MF for losing weight. After my experience this year, I know it's something that can and does work, if I work it. I already love again the idea of not thinking about food and worrying about what I'm going to eat each day. I already feel better, less bloated, clothes aren't cutting off my circulation (I threw away all my old clothes except 3 pairs of 14's which I've been SQUEEZING into each day, determined not to buy anymore large clothes.) I have 10s and 12s hanging in my closet that I was wearing this summer and am determined to buy and wear those 6s and 8s that will be calling my name in the stores a few months down the road from now.
I am especially determined to feel as good as I was back in July, both physically and mentally.
So to all of us, raise a champaign glass filled with your favorite shake and cheers to a healthier, thinner new year!!!
