Sunday Morning Roll Call: December 4, 2005

Postby mama2benandrachel » December 4th, 2005, 5:17 am

Good morning fellow Medifasters!

Its a cold, dark morning here in Michigan! 16 degrees!!!!!!!!! Brrrrrrr!!!!

I posted in the Weight Loss cagegory on the forum yesterday: Notice my ticker!!!!!!!!! After my BAD week last week, I am down 2 lbs. from my B4 Thanksgiving week pig out!!!!!!!!!! Really, I'm down 13 lbs. this week, because when I got on the scales Monday, I weighed 260!!!!! I couldn't believe I messed up THAT bad!!!!!! Nancy was right! It was mostly a water imbalance!!!! Plus, I bought the Biggest Loser Workout DVD!!!! Oh my God! It is a workout!!!!!! I over did it Tuesday night and I could barely move for 3 days!!!!!!! I did the strenghening workout last night and it was great and my muscles have recovered!!!!!

I had to reschedule my physical (it was 12/23). It will be this Friday, 12/9. I wanted to be down to 235 B4 seeing my doc again because she asked how much I wanted to lose B4 the physical (3 months ago). I told her 50 lbs. (I had already lost 22) I told her I was doing Medifast. She seemed thrilled! We will see where I'm at tomorrow and next Friday!!!! I can't wait!!!!! I LOVE this plan!!!!! I will not call it a diet anymore! This will be my way of life!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a WONDERFUL, SAFE, COMPLIANT, and FUN week shakin' people! ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!! :kool: :goteam:
Take care and God Bless,
Judy <><

Happy Sunday Shakers! In week 11 I'm down 3 pounds for a total of 45. I've been losing 3 pounds a week for several weeks ... sure hope I can keep it up! (or should that be down?)

Good going Judy, hope the scales are good to everyone today and we all hang tough together this week!

Hello MF Friends:

Emma here - I haven't been posting too much in the past couple of months (and certainly not on roll call!) - I've been on a binge since Sept. and gained almost 20lbs!! I restarted MF last Monday and am down 10lbs. this week (talk about bloated!)

MF is the only eating program that has ever made me feel in control. But, boy when you go off for a treat, be careful because it's SO HARD to get back in control. Well, I've had my binge, it's over and I'm back on the program and feeling great.

Congrats to all you losers this week! Keep on Shakin' :yay:

Hi everyone. I wasn't home this morning to weigh, so I'm only counting as of Friday. Friday was 3 pounds for a total of 29 1/2 since October 15. That's an average of 4.39 lb./wk!

Congrats to everyone. Looks like it was a good week.

Good afternoon everyone!

I just finished my "Sunday Brunch" of MF Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal and a cup of spiced coffee with cinnamon and cardomom, mmmm!

But first I weighed in: 218.5! 4 pounds down on Day 3 of my restart. Not too shabby! I'll take it! :) :) :)

I have 2 scales, one a basic Health-O-Meter model, and the other a fancy schmancy Tanita scale/bodyfat monitor. This might be an exercise in stress, because they both can give me different weight readouts, depending on how exactly I stand on them, and where on my old 1920 warped kitchen floor I put them!

But after getting a tad obsessive compulsive, I figured I would just go with the basic scale, since that's what I began on. Keep It Simple (Silly)! ;)

Though I have to say, I did write down for future comparison my Tanita readout:
Body Fat: 45.5% (That's 100 pounds of fat! YIKES!)
Muscle: 113.8 pounds

And measurements: 44-37-49

 Guess I am kinda pear-shaped hehehe!

Should be interesting to see what these numbers do monthly, and once I am at goal, I am sure that body fat will have dropped dramatically! And with some more exercise (the dreaded E word to me right now), hopefully I will put on more of the hardcore calorie-burning buffness!

:hatch: Patience... I am really trying to get into this, because I know this will be a several-months-long process, and I don't expect it to be easy! I am struggling to stay on top of my binge urges, but I feel CONFIDENT that I will succeed this time!

My new thing is remembering exactly what it was like to carry those groceries uphill, panting and embarassed, when I am tempted to eat off plan. A little stomach emptiness now and headaches are going to be worth having a decent body again!

Good luck to those still to weigh in!

AWESOME job to all of you who lost! WOOHOO!

Those who stayed the same, don't worry and don't panic, it's only temporary! :)

:coach: Goooooooo, go, go! Let's all shrink together!

Good afternoon, and congrats to all the losers this week!

mama2benandrachel - great job coming back to MF and getting rid of those added pounds, only to get rid of more. look forward to seeing you in the studio when those photos are up

Nicki- 45 lbs. in only 11 short weeks. That is AWESOME!!!

Hyperion - WOW! What an amazing weight loss you've had since starting MF. Keep up the good work.

ljm498 - Great positive attitude. You already know the scales sometimes get stuck, but it doesn't mean your body is not losing weight and getting healthier day to day. A big dropage is on the way.

bear45 - 7 pounds is great! Keep up the good work.

Mytime - Great attitude, a big loss is on its way for you:-)

Emma - Aren't you happy that you're back in control, ready to finish the job. And what a great way to start, 10 lbs!!!

Lisa in NY - Great consistency leads to 37 less pounds on your body. Woohoo!

Lori0 - You'll make it to your Christmas Challenge, look how well you've done so far.

Triskets - Yahoo on the 4.5 pounds gone!

Serenditpity - What an awesome average. Looks like a great week.

BerkshireGrl - Great start girl. Patience is our virture now. I keep telling myself in another 6 months I/we can be heavier, the weight we are at now, or leaner and meaner, 'cause 6 months is going to be here no matter what we do.

Well, now me. I've restarted AGAIN! I don't know why it's been so hard for me this time around.

I began again on Dec. 1 at a whopping 205 lbs. Today I'm already down to 197 lbs.

From March 1st through the first week of July I went from 230 lbs. to 168 lbs. I was close to goal but going traveling last summer and figured I'd get back on MF when I returned. I was able to maintain in the 170's through August. But then I went back to my old bad eating habits and the weight kept creeping up.

I kept having one false start after another with MF in Sept and Oct, doing the ol' "Well, I failed, so I'll just eat whatever I want for the remainder of the week and start on Sun or Mon again." At which time I'd be a couple of pounds heavier and more discouraged.

I was thinking, maybe I'll just wait until the new year, after all the holidays to start again. Then I realized I'll wind up being back to my original weight of 230 by then and REALLY discouraged at the start of a new year. Why not start now and be 10 or 20 pounds lighter at the new year to really keep me motivated. Perhaps I'll have a few bumps over the holidays, but I'm really determined to work MF like I did the first time around and actually reach and maintain goal.

I love MF for losing weight. After my experience this year, I know it's something that can and does work, if I work it. I already love again the idea of not thinking about food and worrying about what I'm going to eat each day. I already feel better, less bloated, clothes aren't cutting off my circulation (I threw away all my old clothes except 3 pairs of 14's which I've been SQUEEZING into each day, determined not to buy anymore large clothes.) I have 10s and 12s hanging in my closet that I was wearing this summer and am determined to buy and wear those 6s and 8s that will be calling my name in the stores a few months down the road from now.

I am especially determined to feel as good as I was back in July, both physically and mentally.

So to all of us, raise a champaign glass filled with your favorite shake and cheers to a healthier, thinner new year!!! :buddies:
