Sunday Morning Roll Call

Postby Seaside » April 17th, 2005, 7:18 am

Good morning! This is my first roll call and I wasn't going to do it for a while but I need to be accountable -- so here goes!

Total weight lost this week: 1.5 lbs. I went out to lunch several times this week and so went off the program -- still, I can tell that I am feeling better so onward and upward!

hey all!
Wow Everybody's doing great! Reading your posts here and elsewhere on the board this morning has been truly inspiring...As for me, I'm afraid I've needed that inspiration since i'm starting again...AGAIN  Yep, after my restart earlier in the week, I fell off once more. So I'm not going to get on the scale this morning, I dont really want to discourage myself like that, but I'm looking forward to being able to post along with all you big losers next week, and by then ill be back in ketosis and on a roll with losing for once!
Again, congratulations to EVERYBODY! You guys are awesome! (I usually read posts while downing some MF, does anyone else do that? hehe)

Wowsa --- I slept in late today and look at all that I have missed!!!!

What a fantastic week for everyone.

Christi - 18 pounds in 6 weeks is 3 pounds a week - now that's not a bad average at all girlfriend!!! And no diabetes meds -- you must be shaking along with those shakes.

Biki - don't be bothered by no change on that scale - those weeks happen -- next week we will see you in the 20 # club.

Lynne - Congrats on the 10# club!!! Many of us started this program hoping to lose 20# in a month (I know I did, I wanted to lose 43 pounds total - thought I'd get it done in a little over 2 months ... I'm at 3 months now and averaging 10 pounds a month).

Joyce and Angelia -- :yeah: welcome to the 20# club!!!! You guys rock!

D - you had a HUGE loss last week; so it's understandable the scale wasn't friendly this week. But, as always, you have a fantabulous outlook on it. And hey - maybe that snail added a few extra calories to those 2 bites of salad you ate???

Shrink --- WOW -- You are just such an inspiration every single week!!! 96 pounds -- you'll be at that gold star club before you know it!

Bess - every now and again there will be slight mis-steps. Get back up, dust yourself off (and put a padlock on the freezer so the ice cream stops jumping into your mouth as you walk by!)

Sister - Look out 50# club - she's coming up fast!!!

kassilou - 1/2 pound off is a 1/2 pound you are no longer carrying around!

Lara - don't be discouraged - we have ALL had weeks where the scale didn't show our compliance to the program. A huge exercise day like you had yesterday can make the water levels shift in your body AND muscle weighs more than fat. Give it a chance, stay compliant, have an extra bar or shake (or both if you are burning off that much). I'd call your health advisor and get some advice on when and how to have those extra supplements on those really big exercise days. Don't give up!!!!

Christine - hello to my new friend!! Your first roll call and you post a whopping 10#'s!! YEE HAAA! :cheerleader:

Spunky - congrats on the 1 pound loss!

Seaside -- 1.5 pounds gone forever --- and now it's onward and DOWNWARD!! yippee!!

Okay - wow - I think that must be why I post early ... trying to get all those congrats in has hampered my oatmeal eating ... I'll have to reheat it!!

As for me this week -- I'm down 1.6 for a totral of 32 pounds in 13 weeks. I'm inching my way toward that goal -- 11 more pounds to go!

Good luck to those still posting -- have a great week!

CONGRATS everyone! Wow, what a week our board is having!!

I must get right out of here and off to writing papers for school, so will just post that I am down 4 pounds this week.......puts me at 212 now, and right into the 40# club. (Move me up please Unca).

I am anxious to be done with school so I can spend more time following everyone's progress on the boards. I feel so out of touch with eveyone, but school in collapsing in on me, so no choices there. Oh well, a few more weeks and then hopefully a little breathing room.

Have a great week everyone :)

I would love to respond to all the posts, but we're nearing the end of second page and I am still sort of in shock from my scale's readouts yesterday & today.

LAST WEEK: excited to lose 2.2 lbs to get me to 189.8, out of the 190s and really safely away from the 200s!

THIS WEEK: The scale says: 183.8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I lost SIX POUNDS this week. SIX POUNDS!!! Oh my goodness. Just exactly HOW does that happen?

Of course, I've joined the 50 lb club, with a vengeance! I don't even know how this happened, except regular old medifast!

I dropped another four pounds this week for a total 5 week loss of 27.5 pounds. Having started at 244.5 pounds, I said my goal was going to be 215. With only two pounds to go, I have decided to shoot for 210 instead.

A special tip of the hat to my wife Heidi........she doesn't post often, but when she does..... SHE POSTS BIG!

Everyone is doing so well.........and this forum is just great!

Finishing up my second week and I'm checkin' in witha 4.6# loss for 14.4# gone so far! I'm in a club now!!!
I was a bit bummed that the first week I lost 9.8# and this week it's less than half of that... but then I think... that's a POUND a DAY! And only 50.6#'s left to goal!
And although my BMI says that I need to lose another 17.6# to be in the overweight category instead of obese, my body fat calculatin' scale is going to stop telling me I'm obese and finally call me "overfat" in just another 1.5 percentage points! I'm on my way!

Great job to everyone who saw losses this week!
And for those of you who aren't flying high on the scale readings today, I bet your still losin' inches.

For lara - don't give up on the program. Tweak it a bit. Get advice from Nancy or one of the nurses to see what you can do to maximize your successes with MF AND a all that exercise! You're feeling better moving around with the 20# gone... just imagine what that will feel like with another 20# gone! Or when you're at goal?! Right now you're building muscle with all that exercise... and you may be retaining water from your slip-up yesterday. AND it's your TOM! Stick with this thing... work through the slow loss weeks... tweak the program by adding an extra supplement or two that is needed with the exercise. Just stick with it!

Boy, have I fallen behind in Roll Call!

I stayed up WAY too late last night (12:30!) watching a bazillion episodes of "The Gilmore Girls" on DVD.... and I don't think I fell asleep till 1 am or so. Then, um, slept till like 11:30! YIKES!

Hmm, funny, I did that sleeping in way late thing last Sunday too, hehehe! I think I am squeezing in 1 late night a week to satisfy my Night Owl tendacies... If it was up to me naturally, I'd go to bed at midnight and wake up at 10:00 am ;) But my work schedule from 7 am - 3 pm keeps me on the straight and narrow DURING the week anyway heh!

A big YIPPY! to those who lost weight this week! You rock! I love hearing about all your (non-weight-related) gains and highs as you keep on your losing paths!

As for me, I have hit a bit o' stall at 190. Dunno why, but not sweating it. See you all thinner next week! (after my Boston trip! WHEE! Look out Beantown, here I come!)

Hi everyone! I dashed in to see how everyone was doing this week, and now I hafta dash back out-- but wanted to at least tell y'all how excited I am at reading about so many successes! Congrats to the losers (bk, I think you get the prize this week! :)) and to the non-losers, too-- sticking to the program and getting yourself one week further along to better health (and big losses next week!) always deserves lots o' credit!

Mary, I'm looking forward to the Mediparty comin' soon when you hit 100# gone! It must feel woooonderful seeing goal in sight-- you've walked a long hard road my friend, and I wll be so happy to watch you dash across the finish line!

I'm still maintainin', and am happy to report that I'm still at 124-- so I guess I'm starting to believe that this Medifast thing might really have been the last diet I'll ever ever be on... yippee!

Hugs to all my Medibuddies!!!
