Postby Karen » January 10th, 2005, 10:26 am

Just down 1.3 pounds this week. Guess that is better than up, Still, I average 4pounds a week. My doc says that is really good for a diabetic. I would sure love to lose 5pounds every week.... I want this weight OFF!

I checked, and my friend's scale and mine are only half a pound different, and that's the margin of error for them anyway, so I'm keeping my start weight as 269.5, and yesterday's weight as 255.

I had to lug around 50 pound sandbags this morning (60 pounds when wet) in order to keep my friend's house from flooding -- we are having Biblically proportioned rains here (Los Angeles County). 50-60 pounds is a LOT of weight -- it was almost too much for me to carry! And here I am lugging around 90 extra pounds! I think I should keep one of those sandbags out on the back porch just to remind me.

Ever onward, friends.

Keep safe, 24Karat... We on the east coast have been hearing about the torrents you guys in SoCal have been enduring-- hope you're okay and that you stay dry. (Besides, we weigh less when we're dry!!! ;) )

Week one of my restart is over, and I've ditched 5-1/2 pounds! Woo-hoo! Here's hoping for a repeat performance this week, but because Aunt Flo will be visiting soon, I'm going to try not to obsess or panic if the scale doesn't budge for a while.

11 pounds away from goal! Give me strength...

Carrie ~

In some weighs, your pause in the program has done something good - you realize that you have been able to maintain your weight for two months. In the beginning, it DOES seem like thoughts of food permeate our brain but you know from experience, it eventually becomes less prominent.

Stick with it, next weigh-in will find you out of the 200's and well on your weigh to improved health!

Thanks for your words of encouragement Nancy. I'm back on (Day 6) and this morning I hit a new low of 200.0. Wouldn't ya know that scale couldn't give me 2/10's of a pound and let me see the 190'2 for the first time in years!!!! But it's coming....I'll get there.

Hi Unca,

I just wanted to say everytime I read your signiture it gives me a chuckle. I'm no Einstein but I think the easiest questions to answear are the ones we already know but are to lazy to remember and need people like you to remind us
