Hi everyone
Well I reached my first goal this mornin, to get under 130kgs. WooHoo!!! 129.9! That's 7.1kgs in 14 days, 15.6lbs! I'd love to keep going at this rate, however, I must prepare myself for things to slow down soon.

Good luck to everyone today,

Hugs,
Gabby

The scale moved.
Down!
After watching it creep upward for far too long, one week on the 5 and 1 plan of Medifast I am down N-I-N-E pounds and I am walking on sunshine. And I never could have done it without this forum. It has been life sustaining. It has gotten me through headaches, light headedness, and nausea (okay, okay cardio on day three was NOT smart!) and a lack of physical and mental energy. My hats off to those of you who can sail through this, for me it has been tough.
But I did it! I did not cheat once! Not one cheerio, not one scrap left over from making the kids sandwiches, I even put shipping tape over my mouth when I made cookies for a school function!
You've heard my story before, I was 115# when I met my husband. I gained a bit with each baby, and somewhere along the way I lost track of me. I have done WW, Atkins, South Beach, phen-fen and diet doctors, all with limited success. I've even had liposuction. For the last couple of years I have devoted 1 hour 4x week to exercise and "watched" what I ate. For this effort I have been rewarded with an all time high of 200 pounds. But I got a serious slap down when my baby (34) sister decided that gastric bypass is the only answer for her. Her surgery date is February 14. (please pray for her and her surgeon)Ironically, she is on a medically supervised MF in preparation for her surgery and is losing weight! ( I know, I know but we don't go there.)
Thank you all who have shared your triumps and your foibles, they have penetrated the abyss of cyberspace and landed in my psyche.
It has made all the diiference.
Christs peace

Good morning all. Week 5 weigh-in is 201 which is 4lbs for the week.

Great news HKFL62 and Aussiegirl. HK, I know what you mean about the first few days, but that over with know and the fun begins as you can see by the scale. Keep doing what your doing and the pounds will roll off in no time.

Morning All --

I'm a little - teensy weensy - bit happier this week than last. This is end of week three for me (starting day 23). I've lost a total of 11.8 pounds -- so

Unca Tim - Put that little 10# Club Member under my name - pretty pretty please. Wooo Hoooo.

Took me a lot longer than most of you in here to get to that mark; but I tell myself everyone's body is different. I lost 2 pounds between yesterday and today -- I was scared I was going to be starting week 4 and NOT be in the 10 lb club -- BUT I DID IT.

Congrats to all the rest of you LOSERS. And I mean it in the nicest way possible. Have a great day --

And to all you New Englanders -- sorry - but

***E***A***G***L***E***S GO EAGLES!!!

Great job, hkfl and AussieGirl! You guys are *well* on your way. The loss may slow a little bit over time, but sometimes it coomes off quickly, too, when you least expect it, so it's a fun ride! Always remember that no matter what happens, it WILL come off, if you just stick to your guns.

Beth, woman, get yourself to the coffee pot! ;) You did a great job this week, though-- I hope you're proud!

Myself, I had another frustrating week of gaining 3 pounds and then losing 3.6, so I netted a 0.6-pound loss. If I could take away the inexplicable gains and take just the losses over the last 3 weeks, I'd be invisible by now! Oh well. Two pounds from goal, which at the moment seems like 200 for all the trouble they're causing me! We'll get there...

Postby kassilou » February 6th, 2005, 7:10 am

Day 6 for me. This is so incredible, but I am down 10 pounds! Today is the Super Bowl, and I was going to skip going with my family to a friend's party as I wasn't sure I wanted to test myself just yet. But this is just such unexpected good news, it might be enough to get me through!! (mebbe not, hehe, so I'll probably stay home anyway and enjoy the peace and quiet :D )

Gotta get going to church this morning, so I don't have time to read posts yet. I'll check in with y'all later.

Well it's great to hear of everyones' successes! I think the tide is turning and we're all in for some high (or should I say low) times ahead!!

Myself, I've had the flu this week, started on Monday and yesterday was the first day I really felt reasonably carbon-based again. I did the best I could to manage the situtation, but had four solid days of lying in bed in a semi-haze. Including a couple days where nothing would stay down. Right now I'm concentrating on getting more water in me, I was a bit dehydrated, and getting myself back on track with my shakes. Soooo...I feel like I've lost a week, but wasn't a whole lot I could do about it.

Good job Peeps!

Carrie

My first roll call.

One week down, and 12 pounds gone.

Needless to say, I'm pleased. I know it won't continue at that pace but the good "kick off" is definitely motivating.

This is my first weekend on MF and I'm finding it a bit harder than the weekdays. But I made it through Saturday and I'll make it through today as well.

Good Morning to All!

Congrats on our weight loss this week. Just remember any weight loss is better than a weight gain right?

Just keep trusting the process and we'll all be arriving in Thinsville before we know it.

I got rid of 2 pounds this week which I'm not surprised at since I got rid of 6 pounds last week.

The BIGGER news (or should I say SMALLER) news for me is that in 5 weeks on the MF plan with exercise, I am down 33-1/4 inches. That's THIRTY THREE AND ONE QUARTER INCHES OFF MY BODY! :D :D :D
YAHOO!

Good luck to all of us in this coming week.

I am SO very proud of all of you!!
As for me I lost 3.5 lbs this week which puts me at 69.5 lbs in almost my 15th week of MFing!!
I am SO close to the 70 lb club I just need to get a haircut to be there
I have had a tough week physically as I hurt my shoulder and my ribs and wasn't able to work out at all, except for a little treadmill and I still

Sigh. Second week in a row where I have been program-compliant (except for the night I had four gherkin pickles instead of two, but I'm thinking that's not really significant here) and have lost only one-half a pound. I think I have enough mental energy to stay with this another week, even after two disappointing weeks, but I'm going to need some hand-holding this week, I think. This forum is great for that, thank goodness; I can hear Sylvia reminding us that she lost 10 pounds a month consistently after the first month, but it was two or three weeks of tiny losses and then a week to ten days of big ones. That's something to remember when experiencing one of those tiny loss weeks. And I keep going back to the stories and pictures of those who are further down their journey than I am, who remind me that this plan works, and works fast, I just have to stay with it.

It is true that my clothes are fitting better. The famous "green pants" that I've mentioned elsehwere that I was finally able to wear last weekend, with room for just a thumb between me and the waistband, are now looser and more comfortable, and there's more than a thumb's room. But I do need so see that number change on the scale for mental reinforcement, too.

Congrats to you folks just completing week one -- isn't it exciting to see that big change that fast?
