Summer treat

Postby Janae » June 3rd, 2006, 12:14 pm

An idea for a hot summer day...

We own a gourmet coffee and shaved ice business and one of my favorite treats is a sugar free shaved ice. The SF syrup we use has no carbs or calories- and it is really strong in flavor.

If you haven't tried shaved ice....we call it "snow"...it is much better than your normal snow cone. A fruity one is the consistency of sorbet. M-m-m-m.

If you were not sure of the sugar free syrup offered by your local shaved ice vendor...you can order "snow only" and take that home and add your DaVinci SF syrup to it. Better still...take your syrup along so nothing melts before you get to enjoy it!

We have a SF Marguerita flavor (mainly lime tasting...non-alc) and I have that with a squirt of fresh lime or lemon juice over the top.
I also do a SF Root Beer with a drizzle...( 1 T approx) of H/H over it. It's an instant creamed rootbeer!

I am just getting started on medifast- but I already know that these will be my every afternoon treat this summer.

Hope you'll try it!

I have been enjoying a shaved ice every night with my little boys. I bought an inexpensive snowcone maker that takes ice cubes. Walmart also had a couple of SF flavors of snowcone syrup. It is a nice treat in the early evening when everyone is hot and tired!
Shake it if you got it, Baby!

Sandy-
That's great! And great that you can enjoy something with your kids!

If you ever get the opportunity to buy the shaved ice one from a shaved ice store/hut/place....be sure to try that. The consistency of the ice is so fine...we call it snow. The people on here that are from Hawaii would probably have had them- because they are very popular there.

Great treat to beat the heat!

Blessings-
