Success!

Postby Pegann » March 24th, 2007, 8:13 am

So here's the thing....I lost 7 pounds my first week on MF. So of course I was truly excited and motivated and of course set my weekly expectations really high ( I know I know....). So I went in weighed in yesterday and only  lost three pounds! I was so so dissapointed when I walked out.

So on my way home....I was moping and thinking about it as I thought maybe I did something wrong on the program.

Then JUST LIKE THAT! It came to me!

I lost my first 10 pounds! Now that is something to celebrate! :bananadance: The only thing I did wrong was set such high and unreasonable expectations.

I won't be able to make the roll call tomorrow as I will be flying high up in the air for my trip...but I will be thinking of ya!!! ;)

I hope everyone had a great week!

You were upset losing 3 pounds in a week?

I lost 67 pounds in 5-1/2 months. That's averaging around 3.5 a week. Trust me, it comes off quick and so do the larger clothes! I wouldn't change it for the world.

Keep up the great work and you'll be very happy with your results.

You know, don't discount those 3 lbs because it isn't as much as you want. Set your goals at weight loss, not time to lose it. That is a much healthier way to handle it. Putting time-limits on yourself will only allow you to fail easier thus making you not be successful on the program. You will succeed, but you must allow your body the time to succeed.

Your 13# in 2 weeks blows my loss right out of the water. Each of us is so much an individual with our loss even if we were doing the exact same program (same supplement choices, same amount of water, same amount of activity throughout the day). We can't compare ourselves and expect a true comparision...........but I'm  over your losses. ;) Keep being compliant and don't compare yourself to anyone else. Your body will do what your body can do---just stick to it and it will work! Congratulations on those 13# gone (forever gone) in the past 2 weeks! Awesome!
