I'M STUCK!

DADGUMMIT I've been stuck at 166 for...for forever it seems! :lol:

I know, I know...I'm more than halfway to my goal and this flub is trying to hold on for dear life, but it's really pissing me off while trying to do so. LOL!

I'm seriously thinking of doing the 6-0 from here on out but that kind of scares me because of...ummm...well...I'm scared of major sandbox issues. :oops: :lol:

Any advise from you plateau breaking pros would be much appreciated!

Ummm, you posted a 3.4-pound loss Sept. 25, kiddo. So "forever" is actually about a week??? I wouldn't change a thing.

Yeah but THAT took 2 weeks.

I guess I just need to stay the heck away from the scale. I try not to step on it everyday...but it calls to me. :lol:

Those plateaus can be frustrating. Have you thought of ADDING a supplement just to shake things up a bit? I've heard that works for some folks...

i am sorry you are at a frustrating point in your journey! But, I have to thank you for the great laugh while at work. Sandbox issues was great! :lol:
Going to restart Jun 2009, been gone since after surgery Oct06. Can't wait !

Sorry you are stuck (temporarily I am sure!) but hey, I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be 166. Concentrate on how terrific you have done already, the scale will move eventually.

The scale can be soooo misleading. I kept seeing a change in my body fat percentage and not my weight. Inches would go and the scale defied me. I think a healthy break from the numbers might be good - if not I like the suggestion of trying to do a full six maybe twice a week............ hang in there I feel your pain.......

I'll probably get smacked around for this but....I was stuck at 164-165 for 3 weeks and finally decided to take a "diet break" and went on a planned off-plan week. My idea was to maintain off-plan and then in one week hit it hard with perfect compliance after that. Well it worked. I dropped 2 lbs to 162.75 today after only 3 days back on-plan. So I'm being a good girl now and sticking to teh prgram. I don't know if this is something you would consider but it worked for me to "shake-up" my stagnant metabolism.

Thanks so much for all your compliments, comments and suggestions.

I think maybe I'll try adding a supplement seeing as how I have been getting up earlier and I have been working out harder recently. That with a 2-3 day 6-0 (gotta keep that sandbox in tip-top shape ;) ) will hopefully move me in the right direction.

AND staying away from the scale. Image

Hey Shadow...no smacking around by me. This worked for you and I appreciate you sharing it with me. At this point I'm too chicken to try it though. :lol: Maybe if this doesn't work though. ;)

Hey, if the extra supplement doesn't work then try cutting your carbs. Works for me.

If you have been working out harder, maybe you need an extra supplement. I got stuck when I started exercising. I decided that insted of adding an extra supplement, I would add a hard boiled egg as soon as I was done working out. It seems to work for me, although you are more experienced at MFing than I am. I would reccomend doing what ever you feel most comfortable with.

I used to do periodic off-plan days to help shake things up, as anyone who's been around here awhile knows. It usually worked for me, BUT a lot of other people have tried it and had trouble getting back on plan.

If you do decide to try it, I'd recommend that at first you do it with low-carb foods - have some extra protein and fat, but don't add a bunch of carbs. That way you won't trigger cravings or get out of ketosis.

BTW, that's one reason the egg is a good idea, maybe better than an extra shake. Keeps your carbs low while adding some calories. And the extra fat usually helps in the sandbox, too. :)
