Stomach Flu

Postby chelleA » April 2nd, 2007, 8:44 am

I started being nauseated Thursday. I've had the runs (sorry!) since then, but just last night started throwing up. :puke: Where do I begin with my diet? What should I try to eat. The RTD made me nauseated last night. I know this is TOO MUCH INFORMATION, but I don't really feel like bringing ANYTHING back up. HELP!!!

Thanks Biki....but...........I don't need my doctor.......it's the stomach flu......as soon as I can hold something down and start eating I'll be over it. I'm just wondering what Medifast suggests. My doctor doesn't deal in Medifast products. I want to know what I can eat ACCORDING TO MEDIFAST so I don't get off plan too badly.

I wouldn't worry about it right now. If you're not able to keep things down......then don't try. You'll know when it is time to eat or drink again. Try to get water down though, you don't want to get dehydrated.

You're not going off plan......you're sick. Take care of yourself. I'm sorry to hear you have the stomach flu. I wish they would come up with an immediate rememdy for that. YUCK!

Chelle,

If it were me, I'd just take some time off the program and wait until you were getting better. As others have suggested, drink plenty of water to keep you hydrated. Hope you feel better soon!

When I had the norovirus back in January I just did my best to not pass out..
Just try to maybe do the chicken noodle or chicken and rice soup. Something broth-like.
Lighter protein.... scrambled eggs, the oatmeal, hot cocoa, etc.

Other than that, don't focus too much on the 5-1 and just get well.
