Aloha you guys!
I'm back briefly after a LONG absence involving a family illness which is still going on AND the processor fan on my computer went out! I've just replaced it, and can again communicate! I'm only around my computer once or twice monthly so I'll try to catch up with you guys during those times, and keep in touch.
I started June 2004, lost 70 pounds in 5 1/2 months, and have never been happier with myself. Just had a birthday a few weeks ago, and celebrated for 3 days eating out. Gained about 7 extra pounds within my 5 pound up or down limitation range I set for myself, so I'm faithfully taking those off quickly and effectively with MF full time for a few weeks.
Just wanted to let you all know that MF does work to take it off and KEEP IT OFF. I allow myself the pleasure of one meal weekly of whatever I want without limitation so I don't feel deprived, but basically, I still use MF frequently during the week to fulfill my 5 meals a day (mostly the oatmeal and shakes). It's just so easy and I'm too busy to rely on my own planning to get the great nutritutional value that MF provides.
I've stayed within 123-127 lbs since reaching my goal last year with the exception of 5 lbs up or down (mostly up), but I take them off RIGHT AWAY with MF as soon as they show up on the scale. MF is the greatest tool for me because it's so effective, FAST, and easy.
My other helpful tools are the Magic Bullet and a Pilates exercise machine. I still make slushies for snacks at night with the Magic Bullet using Crystal Lite made with 3/4 of the water called for, 3 packets of splenda, and ice. This really helps with the sweet cravings. I used to use the Pilates exercise CDs using just my body and the floor mat but gradulated to the machine which has helped timewise and with the cardio board, saves me from having to go down to the treadmill. 3 times a week still does the trick.
Everyone please know that I've really missed all of you, and hope all are well and progressing. It is possible. I am proof. When I first started, there were hardly any posts from those who had reached goal, and were maintaining. I vowed to share my post goal experiences, and apologize for not being able to do so for so long. URRRRRGGGG man against machine!
I've tried to read up but it's nearly impossible to catch up at this point. So, aloha to all of you I have not met, and warm hugs to the old timers. Gerald, I read about your ordeal and pray that you are back in the saddle of your new sportscar in good health. I will return here frequently but unfortunately not as much as I'd like. Hopefully this computer won't run out of gas again any time soon-
Big hugs to all especially to Nancy and her crew who make all this possible!
