Still here

Postby Amanda » August 3rd, 2004, 7:43 am

Hi All- I'm still lurking around here- i have to say i have had a very hard time lately -for about 3 weeks i went off of my plan- i am glad to say i didn't gain any weight over that time i actually lost another pound- But I feel now that it is time for me to go back on my plan. This is very important to me -and i think i got caught up in all the compliments and glory of fitting into my smaller clothes- truth is I am still quite overweight, and this is a journey- some of us need to take breaks to reach the goal but we are still on our way to the goal-just at a slower pace. I am here letting all of you-my MF family- know i started journaling again, and i am going to make a commitment to read posts everyday and at least make 1 post or reply a day that way i can get my feelings out. This really has helped me look at how i eat and given me control over food- I am so thankful for that. I had my shake for breakfast and i am feeling excited about starting again and giving it 100%- i've also missed reading and talking to everyone here. I know this will be a difficult first few days getting back into the routine but i know with your help and support I CAN do it. Thanks for listening and i hope to be around much more than i have the past 3 weeks.
Peace & Love,
Amanda

hi nancy - i've had all my meals but 2 were 4 hours apart, and it is so hard for me to drink that much water again -i used to be able to drink 80-100oz a day and now i'm struggling to get 60 down but with time it will be easier- i am very hungry now and it's hard not eating, i know this will pass too, but its getting used to it again. thanks for caring and checking on me .

Amanda,

I know that drinking water is hard, once you get away from it but it really helps the weight to come off faster - it flushes out the flab and its residue. Truly. If you're hungry, have another shake and it will not hurt you in any way.

I thin mixing the shakes in the blender with ice the first week or two is helpful because it makes for more volume - initially hunger is a big factor for some folks and the fluffed up shakes are more filling.

You're on your way!

Hang in here with us, Amanda!! It has been a tough time for me, too...I have been doing the modified...shakes and a green salad during the week and shakes and a meal on the weekend. My discipline is shaky...some weekend days, I do good, some I don't do so good...I eat too much some weekend days...even though it is high protein, it is too much. That is what I am working on now...just trying to be PRESENT to the moment, my body, how and why I eat, etc. Brother...what a deal...but today, I weighed and have lost that 30 pounds...so, it is a GOOD day...and I am not going to STOP...I am sick and tired of carrying this around!! Glad you are back with us...Lisa in Dallas

Can glasses of Crystal Light or Sugar Free Koolaid be counted in the water? I'm getting a bit water-logged.

Peggy ~

It is BEST to have 64 ounces of good ol' plain water...yes, you certainy MAY have sugar free Kool Aid and Crystal Light in addition to your water.

It is not a good idea to exclude water and drink only the sugar-free flavored water.

The purpose of water slurpage is to wash out the toxins that remain when the fat cells release fat. We get a lot of additives and pesticides from the foods we eat and it gets stored in our fat. As our bod releases flabbage, we want the gnarly stuff to get washed out and away!!
