I am starting tomorrow!

Postby Kelseyyyyy » October 13th, 2005, 7:50 pm

Hi everyone. I just got my order in today. I am very excited but I am also a little nervous that I will get hungry on this program. I have never dieted before. I am positive that I can do this I just might need some extra support along the way. Do other people get hungry on this program? Exactly how hard is it to get through the first three days? Wish me luck. This is something that I have needed for a long time now. :D

Hi, Kelseyyyyy ~

Welcome!

Some people do get hungry the first few days - a lot of it is in the head, too - when people focus on what they cannot have, they think about it more; when people think about how good they will feel when their health is improved, how much easier it will be to walk, run and exerise, how neat they will look when they reach their goal, etc. then they don't focus so much on what they are doing without but what they will gain.

If you are hungry, drink more water, have some herbal tea, a cup of bouillon or another shake. A shake adds only 90 calories and is a better choice than eating a loaf of bread and a hunk of cheese! An additonal shake will not jeopardize your weight loss the first few days but a handful of peanuts surely will!

Read your Quick Start booklet several times until you know it well. Drink 8 glasses of water.

It's hard to say how hard the first three days are gonna be for you, Kelseyyyyy. I thought I'd die but I had a whole lotta lardda to lose.

I went to bed very early - like at 7 PM 'cuz I couldn't hack the TV food commercials. My stomach roared like 4 leopards were in there. We didn't have the MakeMeThinner Medifast support forum in those days so I didn't know it was okie dokie to suck down another shake to stave off hunger and the prowling belly leopards!

Just be prepared, have a packet every two hours, eat on time and drink all the water.
