Starting Day 5...

Postby thefinest » April 28th, 2006, 7:44 am

Well I officially started Medifast on Monday the 24th. Today is Friday and I've only dropped about 2.5lbs which is depressing. I thought I'd really lose a lot the first week. Did anyone else lose just a little the first week but then the weight loss picked up?

I am feeling better now, the first couple days I had a slight headache and I'm not so hungry anymore.

I will not give up no matter what but I was hoping to see the scale really drop during my first week. Even if I only lost 2.5lbs per week though, I could get to my goal in 3 months so I'm going to try to not be too worried.

*raises hand*

I seem to be one of those slow losers. I think I only lost 5 pounds in my first week, and I seem to be averaging around 3 pounds a week (I took almost a week off Medifast on vacation.)

As long as it goes, I am happy. :D

Well if I will lose 3lbs per week thereafter like you, Pashta, I'll be thrilled. :D

Yeah, I really wouldn't consider 3 pounds a week to be a slow loser. Especially when you don't have all that much to lose. The average is supposed to be 2-5 pounds a week.

I lost 7 lbs my first week...but I lost ALL of it at the END of the 7th day. NOTHING before that...nada, none!

I did the SAME thing my second week. Give your body a chance to get used to your program...the loss will be there! Stick to the program, drink all your water...the scale will come down!

Yup, I'm really weird, but it happens. The point is...stick with it, do the right things and the scale will drop, sometimes in a suprising manner and sometimes at a surprising time!

Keep on it and you'll do GREAT!

2.5lbs is a good loss!!!

If you are making sure that you are not skipping any of your medifast meals, are keep the lean and green at the correct portions sizes, and are drinking 64oz of water every day. You are doing Great!!!

One of the things I noticed that slows your weight loss down is if you have too much beef. The weeks that I have chicken and fish only for my lean meat - I loss the most weight. You might want to try that.

Now just for fun open up your refrigerator and look at what 2.5lbs of butter looks like to give yourself a visual of what you lost. That's what helped me get to goal.

Keep up the good work and keep us posted :goodluck:
