Trish~Nat is right, just shake it off, so to speak, and you will be just fine! :D I am hanging in there but feel bloated this week. My back is achy too so I thought TOM is coming  Yuck! Oh well, I am sure I will live thru it.
I bought some cabbage and think I may have some tonight with some chicken. L&G sounds good to me. I do like the shake thing but I dont want to get sick off them and not continue the plan.
I have tons of work to get done so I am off and running! Have agreat afternoon all!!

Hope you guys had a good day!! Today was a hard day. I am a little stressed (big interview tomorrow) and was on the run all day. DH kept making pit stops for food. In NY parking is not so easy to find, so he would ask me to run into the store and buy his caribbean food, then later his cari/latin (cuban) food. I reminded him that I cooked for him yesterday (at great expense to me - drama! LOL) and there are left overs at home. He did not want that.

At first I was annoyed, but then I realized I did not want his food!!! So I was ok, but I kept going up the wrong aisles (candy) when I went to the grocery store. I had to keep running away. Anyway, I am under my water intake, so I better go drink! Be good gals! I will try to log on after my interview.

Good luck Nat! I will keep my fingers crossed! I can relate to the stress. I must admit the urge has been harder for me lately but I am trying my best to keep my mind off food! I thought the first few days were going to be the real challenge but I dont know. Seems like the last few have been tough for me.
I just try to keep busy and stay as far away from the kitchen as I can! Except for my water and shakes of course. I didnt even cook my cabbage tonight because I feel bloated already and I dont want to be gassy
I will save it for when my tummy is in better shape. Now I am off to tackle my evening work. I am so far behind because of the holiday I will never catch up! Have a good night all!

Good Moring nat and cyn -

I'm back on track and lost most of the weight from the weekend. I drank a ton or water yesterday.
Good Luck with your interview nat! If you want the job I hope you get it.

I just love this diet. Whenever I feel like I'm getting stagnant with the same food I go out and buy a goood piece of fish. We get wild coho salmon here is Wash state. It is so good!

I have a lot of running around to do today. I tried one of the MF pre-made shakes and I didn't much care for it. I prefer the powder packets. I'm going to try a Swiss Mocha this am for breakfast.

Talk to you later!!!!!

Hello ladies!
Trish, nice to see you back and how great you are to just jump back into the swing of things!

Cyn, sounds like maybe the dairy is getting to you a little. Hope you're feeling better today. You are doing so well on plan. It feels good to be compliant doesn't it?
Nat, hope your interview went well. You are such a trooper hanging out with your husband stopping at restaurants. That's tough.

I'm doing well and sticking on plan very closely. I've been hopping on the scale every morning and the scale is not moving. I'm getting discouraged because this is work and I'm not seeing the results. I should be showing losses daily. :( Don't worry, I'm not giving up....just discouraged. Maybe I should put the scale away.

Hi Trish, Elizabeth and Cyn!

I am back home and so happy and grateful to God. Our interview went well and we got the contract. My husband is so understated he just kissed me and went back to being stone faced. We went out to lunch with my business partner and he and my husband ordered everything oily they could think of! I got some fish in parchment to go. I am starving. The interview was short but the waiting time was painful. I could not eat, drink or pee during that time. So when we got out pf the interview my ready to drinks were left in the car and were boiling hot. I did NOT feel like a bar - so I have not eaten since 7am and it is now 11:30 - drinking water and will then go and make my shake and then later my L&G with fish and steamed spinach. Mmmmm

Yeah, I dont like the ready to drinks - I prefer the powder too! The RTDs (well the vanilla) are too sweet for me.

I see I am going to be buying a lot of fish too. I am really scared of meat and fish - so I am trying to get organic this and organic that (i had said dad - bah ha ha organic dad). I got free range eggs and what not. Got some wild salmon too. Will cook that this weekend. I tried turkey yesterday and I dont like it. I am going to have to season the meat overnight and let the spices soak in. It was too bland yesterday adding the spices as I cooked (turkey burger). How do you guys make turkey taste good.

Don't worry Elizabeth my scale is not budging either. It is only down .7 ounces since Sunday. :( But that is how it was last week then Friday night it registered a big drop then sat morn another drop. I don't know why. But if we stick to it it will work!!

Anyway ladies, thanks for the well wishes. I feel so blessed right now. Hope you are all doing well!!

Kendra, hope you are doing all right!!

I dont know about anyone else but I am having a rough time. I am still hanging in there but I feel frazzled!! I guess it isnt the diet it is my life right now but I am having trouble keeping focused on being good. I dont feel like I have lost and I dont want to get on the scales just yet. Hopefuly this blah feeling will go away!! I need to get back to the excited feeling I had when I began this!! I have so much to get done today that I am like Nat and finding it hard to squeeze my drinks in on time. I keep telling myself-no excuses, but then something comes up. Ugh!! I am just going to have to do better and that is that!!
Congrats Nat! Glad things went well. That is wonderful news.
Hope the rest of the gang is hanging in there!!

Hi Ladies....

Today is going well for me... its day 4 and i still am a bit tired, but its a slow day at work, so i'm just chillin a bit (shhhh don't tell ;) ) I find myself wanting to reach for things just out of habit, not at all because I'm wanting something. Like running in the convenience store to get a newspaper and nearly automatically heading for the snacks.

I've thought a lot about the emotional eating that I do when I'm stressed. One thing I realize is that I (we) didn't learn the unhealthy eating habits overnight and they won't go away overnight either. But yeaaa for us... we're trying to change them, we're dealing with the stress in other ways! That's a huge step and we shouldn't be hard on ourselves for having a tough time with it.

Nat, cyn, Elizabeth, Triskets... you guys have been such a help to me, having started just a bit before I did and reading about your experiences. Thanks & You're all doing great!!

Cyn, hang in there. I'm thinking about you.
So, did you eat off plan or you just want to? If you need to eat, eat some protein.
Maybe you are bloated and not feeling like you lost because of a little too much dairy....this will do that. Also, maybe your TOM is coming soon??? Sit back, relax, and figure out what you need to do to take care of yourself. I think the worse thing you could do is eat a bunch of carbs. Even if you do that its not so bad if you go back on plan right away.

I am feeling much better today. I am beginning to think I was actually just water logged! LOL!! I have been drinking tons of water so I cut back yesterdayand my belly is much better today. I didnt sleep well last night because my neice was taken to the ER and I kept her daughter and I was off on my eating yesterday because of all that was going on, I missed a few shakes. So today I am trying to get back on track and into a regular routine. I am going to a club tonight for my sisters birthday and there is going to be drinks and snacks  I plan on sticking to water and making an appearance and then leaving. I am not in the mood to go out but I feel like I need to go for awhile. Who knows I may get there and actually have some fun. I am trying to think positive about it.
I am so happy that tomorrow is my 2 week anniversary and I think I have done well. I have to confess that I still wish there was a quick fix and we could just take a magic pill and that would take away the weight. But then we wouldnt be going thru this process and learning all the things that we need to learn, like how much will power and inner strength we do have and how food should give us energy and not comfort. I think we have all come along way in these past few days and week and we all should be proud!
TGIF everyone

Hi Ladies!!

Cyn, so glad to hear you are feeling better. That bloated feeling makes me mental. When I get water logged I feel it in my thighs immediately.
Have a good time at your sisters celebration. If they have unsweetened cranberry juice, ask the bar tender to make you a drink 3/4 diet 7 up or sprite and 1/4 cranberry juice with a twist of lemon. You can walk around with that "cranberry spritzer". Assuming you like cranberry juice. LOL
It's what I do and I get less pressure from people to get a drink.

Good morning everyone! Today is my 2 week anniversary on the plan. I should weigh in but I am waiting for the Sunday roll call. I havent weighed since last Sunday and to be honest I am nervous. I havent been eating but I havent been getting enough shakes either. I know that isnt good. I really need to get on the ball and do it right. Also I am sure TOM will not be helful with my weigh in. Showing up after being gone for months and months :x I was actually thinking the maybe he was gone for good. Wishful thinking I guess. At any rate I am seeing the dotor Monday so I am hoping to find out something then. I hate going but I have to get it done
Nat, Elizabeth,Kendra & everyone else~Have a wonderful Saturday and tell yourself with every sip of shake you take that you deserve to be happy and healthy and nothing will stop you from reaching your goal! Thanks for all the support and wonderful advice. I couldnt do this without my girls!! :D

Cyn, sounds like you're doing very well. Good for you for pushing through the tough times. I won't be weighing in tomorrow because I have not been good to myself. I'm trying to get back on plan today. I don't know what the heck is wrong with me. I know TOM is coming up anyday and there has been a full moon the last few days ;) JK.
Hope you guys all have a great weekend and stick with your plans. Don't do like me...I suck. I went to a party (home decor party of my friends) and I thought I deserved a treat. Well, I didn't have it in me yesterday to get back on plan and I continued. It was not worth it for me to take that little break at the party because I just started down a slippery slope. I wasn't going to post this because I feel like a hypocryte (sp?) but the truth is that I need you guys for encouragement and I need to get back on plan because I do deserve it and I was in denial and feeling great and slimmed down and a little cocky.

Elizabeth~whenever I have dieted in the past I would have a little cheat and then it would snowball from there until I would just give up. I kick myself for giving in so easily and wish I would have made myself get back on track and then I wouldnt be here today-I would be on some beach in a thong! J/K!! Seriously though, I know how easy it is to give in after a slip but I have faith that you will just get back on plan and continue to be a big loser! You can do it! Hang in there!! And I know what you mean about TOM :( TOM=
